The US goes to War

By the way US Americans. Can you learn how to pronouce Iran after all this time?

I swear that every time I hear someone pronounce it as 'Eye Ran', I want to jab a pencil through their tongue.

Meanwhile...in Canada and mamny other coutries thatn have literally been threatened by Trump, we are aware that the US has embarked on a course of Imperialism and international terror.

We have no illusions that TrumpCo. will turn on us and Greenland again after this Iran war of adventure. We are under no illusions that Congress will act or that US Americans won't turn on us as a perceived enemy if TrumpCo. tells them to.

For the time being, we can only hope that Iran and the Middle East occupy the regime's attention much longer than Venezuala.

And they apparently killed his next top picks to take over the leadership...
Many of the people that were killed were the people that the US had been negotiating with. It's likely how they got their location.

What TriumpCo. got wrong is that the whole system is so multi-layered that even 4th picks have been vetted by the IRC.

This goes for the covernment leadership and the Revolutionary Guard.

And most are suggesting that Iran will harden after this. Because the mullahs would all have to be assassinated first and probably like the US now, there is a % of the population (probably around the magical 1/3rd mark) that are religious, far right wing zealots who actually keep this system in power.

Sounds like the Department of War really did a good job of co-ordinating with the allies.

Something that the media is not mentioning- we're about 2 weeks into Ramadan. From sunrise to sunset, most Muslims (including the Iranian Shia) are fasting and the especially devoutly crazy are not drinking fluids during the day. The entire middle east is a tinder box for the entire month of Ramadan when everyone is weak and h'angry.

The videos that I have seen from Iran show older adults in mourning for the deaths. The younger people are celebrating, mostly because they're not as familiar with the lyric, "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".

I might be surprised by the events in Iran over the next few months but from my experience, people in the middle east play the long game, especially when it comes to grudges. The hatred of Israel is persistent and nearly universal. They have always run hot and cold when it comes to America and the events of this weekend didn't make America more popular. The backlash is likely on its way.

I think the strategy of the US and Israel to just bomb and kill leadership and take out some capability without having any plan or even idea of what could come next could be a disaster.

I also have to say that I am sickened by the bombing being done during Ramadan. Again, it opens up a world where extremists will likely now look to western holy holidays to commit acts of revenge.

Meanwhile....if the Strait of Hormuz closes, people should be ready for the price shocks when fuel skyrockets...that will be fun coming up to an election when people are already really angry.

The only good news? The kills are likely throwing a spanner into rrrZZZia'z machinery right now and the closure of shipping through the Strait will cut them off from a very important supply line.

So keep your eyes on what happens this week to keep the Strait open...this is when the conflict could broaden and deepen.

At least we don't have the mutual aid treaties between RRRZZZIA and Iran that would automatically require the Kremlin to announce they are at war withn the US.

This is where Trump and Bibi may split because the Israelis have a much stronger interest in the future government of Iran than Trump does. Netanyahu’s worst nightmare is for a repeat of the Venezuelan solution where the current government retains control. In this case that would be the IRGC which for the Israelis is a distinction without a difference but for Trump it’s his quickest way out and now that the Straights have been closed a quick way out and declared victory is on the menu.

Some shit I thought we as humans had gotten past. For example, I’d begun to believe—naively, obviously—that WW3 was quite unlikely. Then I see how—without any care about public sentiment or proper authorization from the governmental apparatus—our orange führer and his band of greedy, short-sighted bros have been misusing the U.S. military (I mean, can you imagine what would happen if military personnel from another nation invaded the U.S. and even attempted to arrest or assassinate our president?)

And then I see how the shitty leaders of other countries have seemed too cowed to oppose Dummy Trump.

And then, just now, I read this comment from Macron, the flippity floppity president of France: "To be free, one needs to be feared.” Well, damn, Mani!

What the fuck!

There just might be a WW3 one of these not-too-distant days.

To be sure, I’m an American through and through. For generations, my ancestors’ blood spilled into the soil of the U.S. and helped to irrigate the flora that bloom here. I owe them allegiance. But got damn it! With the exception of maybe three of our forty-odd presidents, our leaders have been shit to the core. They have a penchant for compounding bad decisions with worse decisions.

Life ain’t got to be this hard. Fuckin’ fools.

US Americans get the leaders they vote for. Except the Electoral College and a fully gerrymandered Congress invariably means that the US really isn't a democracy.

Unfortunately, the world has ended up with this. A monstrous regime, now unconstrained by any laws.

This is about making the entire world quake with fear and to bow down to Trump and the US or face annihilation.

What TrumpCo. haven't apparently remembered is that in every case where a brutal regime has brought this kind of war to other regions, it will result in failure.

As the US destabilizes the globe, China will be stepping in to stabilize. Because this upstart 250 year old nation is setting the stage for them to become
the only superpower left. China is being quiet, because why make noise when your enemy is destroying themselves?

Irony is not dead among these adherents of Mohammed, but they have a point.

Bibi made us do it maybe isn't the flex you think it is? Telling the world that your foreign war and policy is dictated by what Israel wants to do is beyond stupid both domestically and globally.

And while the Us is out begging other NATO countries to get involved....they are getting a fairly chilly reception.

Congratualtions to Spain for showing some fucking backbone.

I don't think anyone up there knows what they are doing ](*,)
