I'm very disappointed Christina lip synced, though. But I did hear a few live ad-libs at the end.

I just hope she doesn't make a habit of it. It would've been so much better hearing her live voice.

all in all...it was another mundane VMA's.....I didn't understand the whole thing with saying Paramore was at the Whiskey...but they were really at the studio....that was odd

Christina's gone mainstream and I am loving it. I don't care if she lips, the whole world knows she can sing better than 98% of the people in the industry. The Genie remix was awesome!

Brittney looked fantastic but you can't even imagine how I was anticipating the Christina performance, I love the new song and I was just bouncing on my couch watching it, I definitely wasn't let down. The only thing was that Christina looked totally winded through out the performance.

Rihanna is honestly a mess when she performs live, which makes me feel bad because I like her music. But it's crazy to think about how she's turned into this performance-diva in just three years. She's still pretty new to this yet.

Overall I felt like the VMA's were a mess but there were a few moments worth watching so it's like...just barely gets by.

I remember the days when I actually used to get excited for the VMA's. Am I just too old to enjoy them now, or have they really turned to crap?

I feel the exact same way. The last good VMAs, really, was 2000.....

The VMAs from the 90s were the BEST! Radio City is the only place to hold the VMAs (I'm so tired of these small venues they've had lately for the show).....

...and when MTV gave equal time to ALL the genres (rock, alternative, r&b, pop, hip hop....)

and of course the unexpected moments.....now all the surprise moments are staged or super hyped

Christina was the only good performance of the night....the Genie remix was INCREDIBLE and I like her new song.....

....though if I was Lady GaGa I would be kinda pissed that Xtina took her whole shtick LOL....

I'm kinda mad so many Hills people were on the show...don't they get enough screen time, MTV???

I must admit I do like the Jonas Brothers but at first I thought they were doing an episode of Sesame Street LOL!! It was scary crazy when you saw all those screaming girls running towards them...that would scare the shit out of me!

LOL at whoever posted that it was funny that Katy Perry only got to sing during the commercial breaks...I was thankful as well....

I felt bad for the Twilight cast getting cut off so abruptly....

The first half of T.I.'s performance was super cheesy LOL. It reminded me of that SNL skit with Christopher Walken talking to the camera....

i was more amused watching the conventions on C-SPAN.....I dare say they play more music on C-SPAN.....Plus everyone should check out the forums on MTV.com. It's turned political due to some of the hosts comments.....lol.....jonas fans are not happy!

Rihanna - Disturbia
- I lover her BUT she messed up tonight, twice. I don't know if she lacks rest or what but she can barely hit those notes. She still looks hot though.

Paramore - Misery Business
- These guys were great. That girl can sing.

T.I. - Whatever You Like
love this song, it's so sexy and so is he.

Pink - So What
- Pink always put on an entertaining show. The explosions and things breaking fits her perfectly.

Kanye West - Love Lockdown
- Can you say "EPIC" ? Gotta admit it, he has a huge ego but he can back it up with talent. Way to end the show.

Britney
- I'm happy that she won. Kinda disappointed she didn't perform anything.

X-Tina - Genie in a Bottle (Remix) + Keeps Getting Better
- My girl killed it! Genie in a bottle remix was fucking hot, I think I watched the performance 50x already. The whole super hero theme was cool, her previous award show performances was pure powerhouses and a little bit serious but this one was pure fun.

Hahaha I totally agree! This is MTV I'm not sure what those bitches were expecting? They put shows that have girls curse on each other for hours and stippers (Tila Tequila).
