The Walking Dead [merged]

This show really has dragged its main character through some serious shit! Even though its grim to watch, its probably the most realistic (as realistic as a zombie apocalypse TV show can be) way it could play out! Still really like how the show is going, hope it maintains the same level of excellence throughout the rest of season 3. PS how cool is Michonne!

Some thoughts:

I had reservations about Rick's hallucinations, but now actually seeing Lori's pretty face again I'm all for it.

I kinda wished it had been Carol that was shot instead of Axel, tbh.

The governah is badass, the group better watch out.

Herschel should be the new leader. Rick is wacked.

First, I knew what was going to happen, but anyway.. here are my reactions and thoughts.

Rick; Still seems pretty loco to me, but I thought Hershel helped him move in a positive direction. Just a little hint of it.
Michonne; Terrible with a gun but unstoppable with that katana. I'm half surprised she didn't take out the van driver before they could get away.
Daryl; He was pretty awesome to begin with, but sooo glad his hiatus from the group didn't last long.
Merle; Go sacrifice yourself in the yard, I'm done with you
Glen; Put yo rage back in yo pants and fix things with Maggie.
Maggie; Get it, gurl!
Axel; Sad to see he's gone, but at least he died shielding Carol
Carol; Meh. At least we know she's figured out the gun.

Andrea; Okay seriously. You've noticed things are fucked up with the Governor, but somehow you're still gonna manage to fuck him and forget about it. It's seriously like you're the writer's trolling character and every time we think you might change, you just fuck with us more.

Tyrese & company; hope you guys didn't go far.. would like to see ya back!

Listen everyone,

If enough of us send in letters with the title "Make Martinez a ghey" and list all the pros to that idea like:

He's hot

He can get it

ect ect

they have to listen and give him a boyfriend.

They have to listen.

They have to

Make Martinez gay? If only Shane were still around... I'd love to see those two go at it. Martinez's arms and Shane's fine fat ass...

Receipts on page 16. Even Rick is holding more than Shane could ever.

I'd be here for a Darick ship, but we know that ain't happening.

Is there anyone else on the show tbh.

I am so glad you quoted that, proof of the wonderful typo :D

But in regards to the awards, that's awesome. Totally agree and wouldn't have picked anyone else for those spots.

Oh, hey, no problemo! I had to double check it after I wrote it and couldn't help but giggle :D

Do you honestly think the guy who almost raped Maggie will be embraced by Glen, her father, her sister, Carol, or Rick?

Hell, or any of the extras

I said gradually. Heck, the way main characters drop so unexpectedly on this show, the "main group" may not even be recognizable by next season. I doubt governor is going away anytime soon and I don't see this storyline where it's his people against Rick's people lasting forever (nothing on the show ever does).

But admittedly after last Sunday's especially, it would seem unlikely for him to ever be anything other than a villain.

You're right, the group changes constantly.

I was getting excited to see Woodberry overrun by zombies these past couple of episodes because of the mess it was in with the Gov'nah sulking. Of course Andrea whipped everyone into shape but think about how awesome that whole thing would be. We only know what it's like for Rick and Co. to survive the Zombies I'd find it very entertaining to see a whole damn town struggle and suffer losses.

Of course, I just hate all of them and want to watch them die but still would find it a great contrast to the struggles of our original group. I'm curious to see what happens when Andrea learns that her old group has been shot up.

The problem on these shows (for me personally) is that I lose some interest when an original group/cast of characters become too completely changed. Main characters tend to grow on me for better or for worse...new characters (with some exceptions of course) just tend not to do it for me.

I agree. They have already changed it too much for my taste. I understand contract disputes and the complexities of dealing with an ensemble cast. That being said if the producers want it to remain a viable series, they may have a eat a few crows.

^ and ^^ ; only one character has been "killed" because of a contract dispute, and that's not even well documented. What do you expect in a zombie apocalypse; everybody lives? What I like most about this is that it adapts. Sure, if you watch the first episode and then watch the most recent, it's going to make no sense; but are there that many that do?
