The Walking Dead [merged]

Since Kim Dicken's has come out and confirmed they killed off her character Madison I think I've up and lost interest in Fear. They've now killed off the 2 most interesting characters on the show in the first half of the season.
I'm now kind of on the fence of I even want to stay on watching this ): I'm wont doubt they'll make Alicia the focus but she's so far been a shallow, uninteresting character. Strand and Lucianna feel more interesting but I won't be surprised if they both stay as secondary characters with minor plots.

any chance Daniel will show up again? and the rest of 2 Indian guys from last season?
 
I just started Season 9....

I liked the zombie scarecrow idea to scare away the birds. :lol: Until Daryl got him with an arrow.
 
This season has definitely been stronger and I have just finished the mid season final it left my blood running cold never has the show put that fear into me and I like it. I feel this season is too little too late I honestly cannot see TWD survive much longer to many people have lost interest. I begin to wonder should they try and reduced episodes or maybe show all 16 episodes instead of 2 parts of 8. Anyway roll on February because I need to know what happens, plus those douche kids from Hilltop need killed off ASAP!

This fucking show man. I love it and I also grieve for it, because it started out so incredible it hurts, and then it got so boring it hurts. It's announced its ending and it seemed like the news was greeted with no buzz at all. That's so sad 'cause for its first 4 seasons (I think it was already declining in Season 4 personally, precisely noticeable as Abraham, Rosita and Eugene enter the show but that's just me) it was that show. Seasons 1-3 = some of the best TV ever.

I think part of it was the attachments I formed with the Seasons 1 and 2 characters. It's like they become family on-screen, even the more flawed characters and then most of them do sadly die, but the show also survived losing many originally season 1 and 2 characters like Jacqui, T-Dog, Patricia and others without quality suffering, so it can't be the only explanation for why the show turned bad. Something just changed about it, which I don't think I'll ever quite manage to put my finger on, but already by Season 5, it was not the same show as previous.

I just finished the 3-4 new episodes and though it has been hard for me to fall out of love with the flagship series - the newest episodes didn't work at all for me.

I know that Carol and Daryl are going to be in a spinoff but even my two favorite characters and actors on the show were just - BLAH. The writing seems forced and the characters have become boring.

I also thought Fear was coming back for more episodes but apparently not - that was a short season. The writing was exceptionally good in stark contrast to TWD but if that was the last episode of the season it was also the weakest episode of the season. If the cliffhanger is "what happened to psychobitch's little sister" - I think it is a big "who cares?" moment and not a good cliffhanger.

Finally - the new series I need to rewatch. I am not a big fan of teenage shows to begin with but when I looked up here and there it seemed like there was some interesting writing so maybe it might be worth a better glance than I gave it.
 
This show has been on for along time lost alot of good characters like Rick I thought he'd be on for longer i don't know when fear will be back
 
I hated the writing with Carol and Daryl last week but this week - I couldn't believe how good the writing was. To redeem Negan is pretty much impossible but they did it as much as it IS possible - not an easy feat. I am glad he didn't just become a 'good guy' but they gave him layers which makes it more interesting to watch and makes Negan a much more interesting character. I guess he will probably die now since he is somewhat sympathetic now - not a bad shot really but tying this up and ending it will probably mean alot of deaths.

I am kinda hoping that a few of them would team up with the Fear cast (but NOT Negan)

I saw the episode of him where it was about his wife and at the end she turned into a zombie and killed her in the house he plays a good character
