The Walking Dead [merged]

The gay kiss is such a non issue for me. I am fine to see two gays, but it's not some pivotal moment either. Perhaps Tara will kiss a woman?!
So I see in the previews lots of zombies, Rick's crew running on pavement. I'm back to the point were I'm really interested in the show! Woohoo!

Didn't Tara already kiss that women that she was with? I definitely think this season is picking up steam again but there's only a few episodes left. But yeah, looks like the next episode will be a good one.

My theory is that the W carved is for Washington or another settlement that's name begins with a W. Didn't the hairdresser's son give Rick an A stamp of the settlement? So that got me thinking about there being another place. Remember people were exiled who is to say they didn't die and survive. They didn't fit in so they could be the big bad. That young girl I have a feeling is their plant.
Also Daryl and Aaron are good I still do not trust Aaron or Dianna. I think Aaron played Daryl with his outsider talk which BTW was a great scene but as stated Daryl can tell the difference between good and bad people I just think he was being played here. I hope I am wrong but this show has made me very untrusting LOL.

So could Enid (Carl's crush) be an advanced scout or something? Yes, the "W" more than likely has something do to with those "Wolves" who pillaged that other settlement.

Wow, what an episode! So many aspects to discuss:

Yes, Noah, you better learn more about architecture because Deanna's husband has no idea what side the fortifications are supposed to be on. That said, R.I.P, Noah, but you did cause the death of Beth and Tyrese.

OMG Father Cuckoo. He wants them gone so he can live in his pretense where he didn't really lock his parishoners out of his church.

Scrare-ol, aka Carol. With all of the danger they face, she's getting involved (with Rick) in domestic disputes?

Does anyone else feel like this season is just starting? The entire hospital arc was a waste of time IMO and so was the episode devoted to Tyrese.

And finally why didn't Maggie yell out, "Father Gabriel, you are an ugly hypocrite." Deanna shouldn't be mulling his nonsense over in her head! Where are the conversations about the dangers outside, the fact that everyone is infected, etc, etc? Ugh!

No matter how much I try I can't figure out how to use the spoiler tags so from now on I will use white text for anything that is a spoiler from the comics, highlight it if you want to know what happens. But remember that sometimes the show deviates from what the comics did.

In the comics the leader of Alexandria was a man, a congressman named Douglass with a wife named Regina, they changed him to Deanna on the show and made her husband's name Reg. This is one of the weirder changes the show has made.
In the comics Rick confronts the wifebeater Pete and attacks him, when they fight Douglass, Michonne and others come to the scene to try to stop them. Rick pulls a stolen gun on Douglass and tells him he won't let him ruin Alexandria. Michonne literally smacks some sense into Rick-- with a rock. God I want to see that 'cause Rick is acting like an idiot. Later Pete murders Regina (he'll probably murder Deanna on the show) and Rick shoots him dead. Douglass then hands leadership of Alexandria to Rick. A group of evil people come to the gates of Alexandria fully armed and demand they surrender the community to them. Andrea (who is still alive in the comics) shoots him and Rick's people then kill the others.

I liked how this episode gave some rare airtime to almost every main character. The only ones missing were Carl and Sasha; Darryl just a cameo on his new bike. Some of the others finally got some attention they desperately needed. It was Jennifer Lynch's first time at directing this show. She did a great job combining the intense drama with gore and some light comedy, all factors that can make a perfect WD episode.

I feel like the show is hitting its stride again but damnit, with ONLY two episodes left!? Still think the hospital arc was a waste of time; ditto the Tyrese episode.

Need more dialogue about the dangers outside the walls so Deanna is more informed. The group seems to not be doing enough of that.

YES!!!!! THANK YOU MICHONNE!!!! I had been waiting to see that scene from the comics where Michonne literally smacks some sense into Rick for a while now.

Well I certainly did not expect that (thank goodness I am not following the comic.) Although I am not totally surprised. Michonne has been one of the more "civil" ones since they arrived. I just never got the impression that she was waiting to give Rick the smack-down. Although maybe it was unexpected for her too; but something she had to do for that moment. . .

The pace of this season feels like the show is on speed compared to previous seasons, especially 2. It's a good thing, though.

Thank God for Michonne. Rick has gone crazy. The zombie apocalypse is no time to worry about domestic disputes and a potential new wife! And he CERTAINLY should not have been manipulated by Carol. Maybe it's Carol who really wants him tossed out as payback for Rick tossing her out of the prison way back when?

And who was living in that house out yonder?
