The World Without the US

And NATO command is shifting away from the US for the first time.

So much for Trump's claim about America uber alles.

Obviously, this has been coming for months, but the threats against Greenland and NATO allies meant that the US retaining a symbolic role as head of all NATO commands is over.

Another step in the decline of US power.

Another step in the decline of US power.

I think it’s more accurate to say it is another step in the decline of US influence, US power is what most of the world is afraid of under Trump.

From Really American on FB...people are starting to come to terms with 'America First' is ending up as 'The US Alone' as many foresaw...

"Donald Trump has officially lost the world.
European allies just flatly rejected his plea for military support in Iran. Not a maybe. Not a "we need more time." A flat no.
And Trump's response was a meltdown on Truth Social declaring he doesn't need anybody.
This is the man who spent years threatening NATO, demanding allies pay up like a landlord shaking down tenants, and floating schemes to buy Greenland.
He torched decades of alliance-building with both hands, called it strength, and labeled it America First.
Now thirteen American service members are dead in a war no ally would join. Gas prices are climbing.
His own counterterrorism chief just resigned.
Senior officials inside the White House are privately admitting the president was "high on his own supply" when he launched this thing.
And he's alone. No coalition. No international cover. Just American troops, American ships, and American families absorbing the full cost of one man's ego.
America First was always going to mean America Alone.
The working-class men and women deployed to the Persian Gulf right now didn't get a vote on that.
He made this mess. They're living in it."

Wow. Esquire shows that they are clueless. Trump didn't get there without support. All his voters, all those who didn't vote, Congress and the Supreme Court unleashed this nightmare on the world.

Even now, a lot of US Americans, including many I know, are completely disengaged or smug if their lives are relatively unaffected by the havoc being wrought.

They are insulated by media and privilege, propped up by staggering debt they will never repay that has bought them all the weapons and soldiers they don't even need.

The US is Trump. Trump is the US.
