The X-Factor (USA)

Can I just ask you guys one thing.. do you really like Emblem 3? Like really? I get that they're hot and everything.. but they come across as obnoxious douchebags to me. I don't like them at all. And it's even worse considering Simon is basically pushing them on us and is trying to "make them happen" when I think they're generally not very likable guys and I couldn't care less about them. The boys in the boyband in the UK version are at least nice! And they're not bad looking either.. but they are twinks. Maybe some of you here wouldn't go for them. Then again.. they have an openly gay member and just that in itself is refreshing!
 
The dude factor is overwhelming and annoying. They are such stereotypes and still think they are original and not a typical boyband.

And frankly... they aren't even that hot looking.

Simon is really over-rating them thinking they can win.

Thank you! That was my point and that is exactly how I see them too. They're hot, but they seem kinda stupid and they're just douchebags. They're not very likable. I don't understand how Simon can see potential there, and they don't even seem that "new or refreshing". They said the same thing about District 3.. that they were different from other boybands, but they're really not. Heck.. District 3 and Emblem 3 are similar in many ways, they're bot trying to move away from the boyband stereotype by trying to do something different. District 3 kinda failed doing so and were voted off early. I'm interested in seeing how far Emblem 3 can go. But already people seem to be annoyed by them, so I honestly don't see how they can make those guys happen. Oh well.. we'll see.
 
I hate that people vote for who they think is hot. It really gets annoying. Maybe I sound a little bitter though, because I hate hate hate Emblem 3. I've tried to like them, but I can't do it. From what's left I like Fifth Harmony and Paige Thomas, but I doubt either will win.

I have to say that I'm still a much larger fan of the X Factor UK. Seems less contrived if you can believe that haha.

Oh! I also hate the US judges except for Simon and, occasionally, L.A.

I totally agree with everything you said basically. I tried liking Emblem 3 too, but I just couldn't. They're huge douchebags and I'd never support obnoxious guys like them. They might be talented, but all that talent is forgotten when I see how they behave. They're extremely annoying and I can't believe Simon is trying to make them happen.

I also agree that the UK X Factor is much better than the US version. I can definitely see your point that the UK version is less contrived. However, this year was probably fixed.. because there was so many rumors when both of the boybands (with probably most fans out of all the acts) ended up in the bottom two together. Earlier that same day people said the results were fixed and that both of them would end up in the bottom, and then it happened. It might have been a coincidence, and it might not.. but it sure as hell looked suspicious.

I also agree that the judges in the UK version are much better than in the US version. I even like Nicole, even though she can be a bit annoying at times, and I still don't get the decision of putting Rylan through. I love Rylan, but he has no business being on The X Factor.

But I must say I much prefer the boyband in the UK version.. they may bee too "twinky" for people here, but they're really nice guys and talented. They're improving week after week and they're hot as hell. That said.. they will probably be gone this week. They have been in the bottom three times. It's insane! And this week there won't even be a bottom two.. because there's only four acts left, which means Union J will probably go home. But a 4th place isn't that bad though. Hopefully they'll get a record deal.

To be honest if the winner is based on vocals I see Carly winning it.if its based on charisma diamond will win. If its based on who has a more marketable look I hate to say this but it will be cece or emblem 3. I like Paige but her voice control is off compared to the others.tate is good but he's only marketable in country music.to where the others have more variety.vino is good vocally but he needs to learn to work the stage a little better or his performances will become repetitive.fifth harmony are good vocally but they need to learn to share verses.and get less predictable.which is a shame Dinah Jane should've made it through by herself.
 
Yes, I will admit this season of the X Factor UK seems a bit suspicious. I hate how Carolynne was sent home at the beginning because of Rylan. Her singing was fairly amazing.

I have to say I really don't like Nicole at all. I'd rather have Kelly Rowland back.

The whole boy band thing makes me laugh, though. I don't find any of them attractive which is odd. I know they are, but not for me. I think they kind of look like aliens haha. It's also entertaining how everyone is trying to make a One Direction success replica now. It really ruins it for me. I don't think boy bands are cool and never will.

Yes! Carolynne should have never been sent home that early. It's a shame!

I like Nicole though.. I like her critiquing. She's probably the judge (maybe besides Gary) who gives the best criticism. She knows what she's talking about, believe it or not. I've often found myself disagreeing with Gary or Tulisa.. but I think Nicole has been spot on a lot of the time, and she seems sweet. Although sometimes she can be a bit "too much". And I still don't get why she put Rylan through.

You don't find any of them attractive? Who are you talking about? Emblem 3 or Union J? Either way.. I like Union J a lot. But I knew a lot of people here wouldn't like them, since they're too "twinky" or whatever. And I totally respect that. We all have different taste. I even hesitated to post them because I knew people wouldn't like them. I have to disagree though.. I think they're hot as hell. The new photo shoot was basically just sex, but moving on.. I think it's natural that they would try to make boybands happen again, especially with the success of One Direction. And in X Factor they have groups, you know.. so some of those groups would obviously be boybands. I don't think Union J is the new One Direction at all. I admit that they might look like them on the surface.. both boy bands have twinks etc. But they're so different once you get to know them. I must admit though that I liked them better when they were Triple J. I don't like that they added George. Yes, he's hot but he can't sing very well and ruined their harmonies. Oh well..
 
Ok Cece's performance tonight was AMAZING. Can you guys honestly say she's not pop star material? I'm expecting her to replace Dino in the 3rd spot.

Carly was good but not as good as last week. She deserves to be #1 but I'm afraid she might drop down to #2 this week.

CeCe and Paige both need to go...they really are not good. They sounded good in the audition rounds, but man, get them on the live show and they can hit their high notes but every other note is so off and flat and Paige's annunciation of words is horrible.

Carly needs to win...Emblem 3 I enjoy but the past 2 weeks the song choice has not been right. Everyone else is pretty forgettable each week.
 
I knew Cece wouldn't be at the bottom this week.

I'm so glad Carly was #1 again.

Kinda shocking that Dino went home.
 
I can't stop laughing at people saying Cece needs to go. She's the only one there that has the whole package - something that is used as a slogan for this show. Cece's voice is great, her personality outshines everyone else that is still in the competition. I'm not surprised that few episodes back, Britney wasn't able to say anything else than the already famous "sorry, I just don't get it". Cece was amazing and she'll be fine without winning the whole damn thing. She'll work her way out.

Most probably Carly will win, but I'm not sure if she's ready to be a real singer, you know, in the spotlight and all this stuff. Her last performance was awful. Glad that both Vin and Paige were voted off. Both, especially Paige, were rather bad. Now, Fifth Harmony and Diamond White needs to go. Not impressed by Emblem 3. Boring.
 
Yeah but she is a famous woman and was once at the top, or well near the top. There are other factors in her drop than her stuck up bitchy personality.

I agree with everything you've said about Emblem 3.

As to Cece - you're saying she's not likeable enough. For whom? I like her enough, people like her, she's still on the show. Also, I have no idea why you think she's fake or not down to earth. She's friends with Jennel and Willie Jones (still stays in touch with both of them), she said she's having hard times after Paige left. Do I have to remind you that X Factor producers tried to fool us with their BS how Paige and Cece didn't get along? Since the start of the live shows I can't think of one situatiuon where she was bitchy or stuck up. I really can't.

It's obvious that the producers felt Cece had the personality that would make you love her or hate her (and good background story), however, it turned out she's just as nice and down to earth as, for example, Jennel Garcia or Tate Stevens. They really tried to make her look like an ultimate bitch, which she's really not. I do not want to be annoying but she never said the spots will be gone forever.

Just the other day I've seen this, she seems cool.
 
Have they changed her blonde hair style/color or is it just that I have gotten used to it? I like it more now than I did at first.

They changed it. I had doubts about it, she was looking great with her natural hair, but the blonde is making her look more like a pop star (which is one of the elements that an X Factor winner should have).

And btw, Cece did great last night. Again, the judges hated it and that's why she'll make it through (I hope!).
