I have a good friend who used to go to Brightmoor Tabernacle in my area during the 80's. He'd go to the church camps, try to spread the Word to people, and follow his Bible all whooped up for Jesus.

That is until he told the pastor- who was talking to two other people- that he thought he might be gay. They laughed at him and the pastor said, "Not in this church you're not." My friend left in tears and tried to commit suicide later that night.

To sum it up, no, I don't like them. A large part of me hates them. I have more instances than this that pertain to myself. I tried to like them but they made it impossible.

Well, let me think... Who has persecuted me the most in life for simply being myself?

Conservative Christians.

I have some conservative christian friends.. And I don't hate them at all.

But, in general, there is a large number of conservative Christians that have done nothing but persecuted us and hated us for being gay. I remember one of my best friends disowned me because he thought I was a sinner and he could not fathom it.

I sort of find being a conservative christian homosexual being like a jewish nazi.. It just does not go together.

James, if this whole world became conservative and christian right now, how do you think we would be treated, as homosexuals? Do you think we would be tolerated, and be treated with respect? Or, would we be treated like animals? I think the latter would happen.

It is the ideology that someone thinks I am sinning and doomed to hell, and they think I am a filthy person and they think I chose it, and they think that I should change or be disowned, that I hate. And this sick ideology comes from many conservative christians.. Not all are like that.. you are not. But, I would say most are, by a good majority.

Well frankly I have to worry about whack job christians far more than I do about Islomofascists-terrorists. I'm far more likely to be a victim of a hate crime than blown up by a terrorist....but it's ok to hate all of Islam for that right?

Whack job christians have injected themselves, and their religion into the political sphere and tried to ram it down everyone's throats. Apparently, these fine christians didn't understand Jesus' words when he said his kingdom was no part of this world.

Now, notice I used a small "c" in the word christian. The whack job christian right aren't real Christians at all. There are many fine Christian churches that do teach what Jesus taught. However, the fringe right is nothing more than a cult of hate. Period. End of story.

Secondly, you really believe all the crap in the bible? Women are the originators of sin and are therefore evil? Killing of innocent people and destruction of other religions is okay as long as it's done in so called 'holy wars' in the name of the christian god? Child molesters and baby eaters and even Hitler goes to heaven so long as they repent on their death bed? Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live means we should torture them and burn them alive? Well I'm not a Christian, so for that right I don't have a right to bitch about them.

I don't hate them, nor do I have deep anger for them. I just don't like the fact that they continually try and have us labeled as sinful and pedophiles and other stuff to that effect and try to take away basic American rights such as being able to get married or to be able to at least go out in public with the person you're dating.

Also, I don't think that you went about making this thread in the right way. Meaning you really shouldn't say that all gay people are "cry baby bitches who think that world owes them a favour."

I certainly don't think that the world owes me anything except what it promised me when I was born, such as the right to be happy with another person.

I think that this thread should be deleted and maybe you should try again without accusing everyone of being a bitch, Christian hating queen and say I think that you all should stop hating a majority of conservative Christians. We all don't believe in what the ones who are on T.V. believe, nor do we act like it.'

I certainly don't enjoy the wording Jamesdude used, referring to JUBers as whiny bitches or whatever terminology he used, and its ironic that he expressed the same hate he's antagonizing, but he has a valid point.

I wish to God (no offense) that we could all express ourselves WITHOUT putting somebody else down, but you'd be blind to say that this forum isn't full of hate, and is probably extremely uninviting to certain groups of the gay community, religious gays for one.

Religion is constantly beat up on this site, there are daily multiple threads made about "this crazy christian" or "that religious zealist" and it creates an atmosphere that JUB is a no-religion zone, that anyone who believes in God or Mohammed is going to be diced up and tossed into a dumpster the minute they post any expressions of their faith.

I doubt this is going to end because its clear that this site is a platform for hate. More people spend time talking about what and who they don't like, regardless of the fact that the "who" is probably on the other side of the computer screen, reading about how much their body size disgusts everyone, or how much we all laugh at their religion.

Free speech is a motherfucker. I first tried angling myself against all this stuff but that just got me attacked and put on ignore, so I'm going to do my best (along with a few other members who I've spoken to in PM) to make sure that the outcasts are fairly represented. Christian gays aren't just welcome here, they're needed. We're (in the US) currently under a system that DOES NOT have our best interest at heart and our only strength comes in numbers since clever word play and expensive lawyers makes it easy to manipulate the law against us.

Again, religious gays are welcome, and I apologize if any have been made to feel as if all we see them as is a bunch of zany looney gay-hunter hypocrites. I know this isn't true, and anyone with half a brain knows that stereotypes are general truths, not absolute ones and I judge every person, religious or not, by their own merits, not by some whack job on CNN making them look bad. Forgive me, but I'm smarter than that, and too mature to live in a world where everything is black/white, left/right.

Many people read them and commend me on them. It doesn't take forever to read them, but I'm sure that those who's opinions are different than mine are less inclined to read them since it contradicts their simple-minded views. I'd personally prefer if people would just put me on ignore or pass over my posts rather than continually express how much they hate me and can't stand my posts, but it proves how eager people are to express negativity.

OK, why is it that when I'm clicking through the different pages, every second or third thread is all about how evil Conservatives and Christians are, and how hateful they are, etc.

I have been fighting this fight for some time now and am in complete agreement with you. This is not an inclusive group, it is more like a cult, wherein one absolutely MUST think, act, look just like everyone else, or you are rejected and verbally abused. It is so hypocritical of a group that then runs around demanding their "rights" while trampling over and disrespecting the rights of others.
