Will Hasselback's head just explode?

I've never watched The View (a bunch of bitches sitting around talkin') and don't know anything about it but I will tomorrow. Thanks for the alert.

Will they censor it when Joy Behar licks Obama's ass?

I wish she'd focus on the economy than appear on this show. Seriously, though, there are FAR many more pressing issues than talking to 5 scatter brained women in the daytime.

its an election season and he has to go talk up his accomplishments or he wont have the chance to have more.

it goes with the job.

Whoppie is Hilarious....Her talent as a stand-up-comic gives her great timing....Whoopie is also the Moderator on the panel and keeps the show "moving". The shows first 15-20-min Hot Topic discussion is worth "The View"..After that the scheduled guest can be a hit or miss...

Well Hell, if Whoppie is on there it might be worth watching. I like her.

After checking the show out on the internet I learned a little about it. If Elisabeth Hasselbeck asks questions I just hope she allows the President to respond instead of interrupting him.

Why vote though?

Vote and hope to maintain the majority, only for Obama to compromise on watered-down bills?

I'm definitely not voting to I show my frustration. Obama wasted a super majority trying to get a Republican here and there just so he can say he built a coalition.

Paul Krugman, a colleague of many of Obama's economic policy advisors, has criticized the administration for putting in a stimulus that was too small from day one. Rahm Emmanuel convinced Obama that a package of $1.5 trillion would never be accepted by the public so Obama caved on PR's worries. This is the same public where one in five believe in witches.

So, Obama listened to someone with no economic background and severely cut several programs in his stimulus just to get two Republicans' votes? And now Obama is appearing on a TV show with unemployment around 9.5% to get the vote out?

Times like these painfully remind me that there is only one party in America. There really needs to be a good green party option where compromises aren't made with people with no ideas (Republicans).

She did all that backstage in the green room ;)

But Ed Rendell didn't think it was a good move. It was all soft ball questions of course.

rendel was saying its undignified to be on a morning show, while he was on a morning show

I just wonder if their heads are so far up their asses that they don't realize how much they contradict themselves

them meaning ALL politicians

Some of us knew this is how it would go. Like Krugman, I said from day one the stimulus was too small and not focused enough on jobs and programs that would create a foundation to get our economy on a healthy track (those posts should still be archived here).

And sadly what you're saying is what a lot of people are now saying, people who were eager and optimistic for big change two years ago, and that's why ObamaCo is doing things like using immigration for divisive politics to get people to vote against Republicans. Hope and Change is nothing more than Hate The Other Team.

The problem is not the parties per se (though the Democratic Party has, indeed, become very like the Republican), the problem is choosing personality over competence.

Daytime tv watchers are primarily women, and the view is the king of that demographic. He needs that demographic to stay with the dem party in the upcoming mid term elections.

this is just a very ground breaking president reaching out to voters in the same creative ways that won him the presidency. It is an untapped market.

and if anyone thinks that the group isn't qualified to ask the right questions ought to google them and their actions....

Barbara Walters is a legend in the Media, Behar has a show on CNN's sister channel nightly, and WHoopi and Sherri are political comedians known for their biting humor against all sides of the political spectrum. Elisabeth is such a political animal that she even went on the stump for Ms Palin during the last ellection.

this won't be a walk in the park for the President, and I applaud him for doing something new, and the ladies for convincing him to come.

we can only find a new truth here, and I can find nothing wrong with this program helping us to become more informed.

^^ CoolKid77: that's pretty much the comment people would expect from you.

As usual he was brilliant. Answered questions, made insightful comments and observations. He spoke candidly of race. I liked his "roses and thorns" analogies.

Elizabeth attempted to interrupt him. She started whining about the President using the term "lost jobs" to describe jobs that his administration says would have been lost if not for its policies but was wisely muzzled by Barbara Walters.

He doesn't have Justin Bieber's music..... neither do I.

Successful as usual.

This was not the first time a sitting President has appeared on daytime TV. George Bush appeared on Dr. Phil in 2004. Dr. Phil was apparently unable to help him.

I just love the new team of Nick & LL, but as has been pointed out innumerable times, most recently by the departing Peter Orszag, the stimulus was the biggest that they could get past the Republicans and conservative Dems. If you like reality, and I know many of you don't, then you have to deal with what is possible and not what is ideal. Even Krugman has acknowledged the opposition to the original stimulus package.

Obama had a super majority... More importantly he had 51 senators to back a bigger bill...

So why the compromise with dead enders and red necks?

Krugman also acknowledges the economists that believe that the recession is the result of the private sector responding to a Democratic presidency when Obama was cruising to his victory against McCane.. Like Rahm Emmanuel has said and what Orsazag said today, is that the stimulus was a purely political decision.

All I hope is that a disproportionate number of red staters and rednecks remain unemployed while the "magic of the free market" finds its way to them...

Always nice to hear another time Obama is following in Dubya's footsteps.

I just love the new team of Nick & LL,

I doubt there's much he and I agree about, but nobody was more gung-ho about Obama or more optimistic about what he'd accomplish, and here he is able to see failure as failure and say it unflinchingly.

Yes that's been pointed out by the Obama Propaganda Machine, ObamaCo, ObamaMedia and all his little minions repeatedly, including the departing Mr. Orszag. And you bought it. And you buy it. And you're still trying to sell it. And it's poppycock.

So, explain for me again why Obama is so terrible for not getting a better stimulus bill passed with Democratic majorities in both houses, while Clinton is God even though he had Democratic majorities in both house and couldn't stop them from passing DADT, and even signed the legislation.
