Stay warm. Stay dry. Stay safe. Stay home, if you can. ;)

*Positive thoughts sent in your direction*

Thanks.

Normally my delivery truck comes in on Thursdays, but it got pushed to Friday which gives me off tomorrow.

Awww, thanks. So far the snow we're getting here seems to be dry. We'll see what it's like in the morning.

Everyone take extra care of everyone else and your selves. The world is getting crazy.

The good news is I just got back from Puerto Rico with no weather related delays--the bad news is I just got back from beautiful 85 degree Puerto Rico!! And came back to this!

I hope everyone affected by any of the storms stays safe. Do not take any chances with the outdoors. (*8*)

Thanks

The snow has started falling. I'm not really worried. A foot is not a disaster. It doesn't get really bad until you are talking two feet or so.

The largest snowfall I remember was 30" that fell in 1996 when I was a wee tot. Of course I was having the time of my life while my parents were pulling their hair out.

The really cold temps haven't made it this far south this time around. We're still getting a bit of rain, but nothing to grind us to a halt like two weeks ago. Starting tomorrow we're supposed to get very sunny weather. :)

Let's hope the storm isn't as bad as the media is making it out to be. I have a few friends along the east coast (mostly in NY and NJ), and I'm sure they'll be OK.

One foot already and it's still coming.

Forecasters try hard but sometimes storms intensify and grow beyond prediction. I'm not leaving today, and probably not tomorrow either.

Bf says the new washer and dryer are still going to be delivered  Yeah right.

We have a grill if the power is yanked and an SUV if we really need to break out.

I have plenty of batteries!

*squeals with delight*

Nice. That's a day off.

Watching NBCNews.com live feed of snow in New York. Suppose it's on its way up here. Damn - as if this winter hasn't already been the pits.

Oh, the naivete of children.

I remember, at a similar age, telling my Dad "I hope that there's a lot of snow. I hope it comes all the way up to the WINDOW SILL!"

OR, it was snowing a lot, then it stopped, and I told my dad that I was disappointed that it didn't come all the way up to the window sill.

It was one of those - I don't remember which...

At the time I just couldn't understand why my dad didn't like the idea and rather grimaced about it.

Pshh. You call this a Snowpacalypse?

All it did is cause a comedy show I wanted to see to be canceled. GA went from under-reacting to overreacting... I mean, I can see why they did considering the sheer amount of people that were stranded, but still.

It's not a particularly bad storm, though it is uncommon for Baltimore to get 15"

I'm in Northern VA about 4 miles from D.C. I live on a snow emergency route close to a hospital. My street has not been plowed, and the fools are out! I watched a guy get stuck in the intersection in an older real wheel drive Volvo. Took him at least 45 minutes with several good samaritians trying to dig him out.

I just finished shoveling out the walkway and sidewalk. Very fluffy, probably 10-12 inches. Easier than most to shovel. Thank goodness as my partner had hernia surgery last week and this was my first solo shoveling--took me about an hour to dig one car out and do all the other shoveling. My poor back...

We are very thankful we did not lose power. We've got plenty to eat and drink and we are in now for the duration.

Best wishes to all affected.

Try not to round your back while shoveling, and squat don't bend over while lifting a heavy load.

I am not done shoveling either.

Thanks. But to be honest, it's water off a duck's back for us now in New England now. These constant storms are just pain in the ass inconveniences to me. I growl and grumble then go about my everyday life.

Nothing here yet but 6 to 10 inches projected this afternoon and overnight; supposedly just a "trace" of ice.
