the only problem i have with the show, is that it seems they're more interested in the "entertainment" value of catching the criminals, rather than actually getting them off the street.

I agree. I am 20 and I find 16 and 17 year-old girls sexually attractive. When I'm 40, these girls will be 36 or 37. Not much of an age difference, huh? And who's to say what is too young? So if I find a girl who just turned 18 that day attractive, my desire is perfectly normal and acceptable, but if I find a girl who's 17 years and 364 days old atractive I am a " sick pervert". Where is the logic in that? In my country the age of consent is 12 and when I was 19 I had sex with a 14 year-old girl, and she had bigger tits and more hair down there than most adult women.

That's a good point. I wouldn't want them near me and my kid and my neighbour's kids. Its very irresponsible for a cheap idea that's making sick money from even sicker viewers and participants.

Like they say about kiddie porn, if there isn't a market for it, no one would buy it. The viewers wanting to see such stings are just as guilty of creating these dens of iniquity as the paedos, the camera crew and host and channel people for making the series and airing it. If it means they'll be taken out and put away, YES, I'm in favor of it. The sexual offenders exist in all neighborhoods. You can look them up online. The fake decoys are just put out there to get them caught. I'm totally fine with that.

Also what crime has been commited? Because there is no victim in this because the whole scenario is fictional and usually the decoys promote the topic of sex.. so are these men the worlds biggest predators?

One less child is being molested. One less child won't kill themselves for thinking it was their fault. One less child molester will be off the streets.

If you believe that this show, for all the good its done, is that immoral...do something about it. While your at it...lets go after every single policeman that has particpated in a sting operation. Why? Because obviously its immoral and evil to trap criminals.

Banning public executions and catching criminals are two ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS! DAMN IT! Do you not understand that your comparisons are not even relative to what you are arguing against?! Here's a better one, you think that To Catch A Predator does no good? Okay, so America's police force...we lock criminals up, we try them for their crimes...but there are still criminals out there. SHould we stop just because there are still criminals out there? NO! We keep doing our job, we keep fighting, we keeping dying to protect our innocent. We do it to better our lives.
