What you seem entirely clueless on is the difference between being feminine, being transgender and being a PERFORMER - which drag queens are. RuPaul has done an incredible amount of good for the acceptance of Drag Queens and transgender women. She is not trying to specially benefit the black gay community (perhaps the distinction isn't really something anyone benefits from, mhm?), nor should she, just because she is black.
What RuPaul cares about, is drag culture. Just because you don't know jack about it, doesn't make it unimportant. Google it.
There needs to be more of a balance we all know these effeminiate types exist my problem is the media tend to use them and make them seem like they are the norm which is false.
I think the LA Complex was probably the best show I've ever seen of a black gay couple both guys were masculine which was nice to see. Sad that the LA Complex got cancelled so quickly but I miss Tariq and Kal.
Most gay black men I know do not wear make up, or dresses, or high heels, lip stick and act like these people.
The way these guys talk and act, I think they exaggerate themselves for television epecially those effeminate types on those reality shows.
I almost forgot about Noah's Arc, that show was interesting although I thought there were too many effeminiate characters on that show. I liked Wade and Alex's boyfriend there were the only masculine guys on the show and they weren't homo thugs or whatever.
what part of the game is that? can't he take the headgear off? who the fuck has sex with a damn doorag on his head? Great, RuPaul is a flaming drag queen but in the grand scheme of things especially in the black community RuPaul is not respected.
RuPaul won't get the respect like someone like Don Lemon who is a hero to so many.
you know, it seems like it's a bigger problem in the media. with that said, it's the same issue in porn. sorry to go off topic BUT damn, there's like very few gay black porn stars that basically aren't associated with a stereotype whether it's their porn persona or their names. the most racist shit i've ever seen was this website that seems to be fetish based which stereotypes black men for being thugs having sex with submissive white guys. of course, the black guy who looks like he's up to no good going by the name "bone thug", "sexay jay", "t-gawd", "thugalopolis" or whatever "thuggish" name they can give him, with the fitted or the doorag on is the top and the white guy looking like he took the wrong street on his way to Sean Cody or randy blue is the bottom. they don't even let the black perform take off the damn headgear either. he fucks with the doorag on or fitted on.what part of the game is that? can't he take the headgear off? who the fuck has sex with a damn doorag on his head?
and yo... i also can't stand how in many of the gay black porns with two black performers fucking each other. they have to make the top act super masculine to the point where he acts like a damn thug like the ones in the racist stereotypical fetish porns and the bottom acts like and even to a certain degree looks like a damn woman. they REALLY over do it to the point where i can't even jerk off to it. it just looks nasty especially the way the bottom acts. if i want to watch a straight porno where i can see a woman get in touch with her feminine side, then i'll watch it. gay porno on the other hand, two guys going at it. i want to see two dudes getting it in and putting on a show. not acting out some fucking gender roles and shit. i downloaded this one porn with some dude and shawty j or whatever his name is. i couldn't get off to it and when that dude shawty j who was the bottom looked into the damn camera, looking and acting like a female when he was getting the dick, that was it. it was NOT hot. it was quite nasty. he was acting like he had a vagina.
now next door studios has next door ebony going on.![]()
The OP is right.. Too many Queens on TV.
And unfortunately that's something I encounter with gays in general in real life. Masculine in appearance? Yes. But masculine behavior/mannerisms? Nooooooo.disagree right here, sis. everybody was effeminate. masculine in appearance but masculine acting, no.
And unfortunately that's something I encounter with gays in general in real life. Masculine in appearance? Yes. But masculine behavior/mannerisms? Nooooooo.
And then some of the forum members wonder why some gays are into straight men.
Damn...Those pictures are almost disturbing.

What's with all this "She, She, She" stuff? Rupaul is not a "she", he's a man in a dress. Granted, you seem to be more involved in the Drag culture than I am (or wish to be), but I was unaware that RuPaul was Transgender.
And again with the femmephobia. Ostracizing our own - the ones who society already hates the most - is a very masc, butch, manly thing to do. Very dignified. Congrats, you're a paragon of gay masculinity now.
homophobia was at an all time high within the black community at that point. bet was actually hosting fucking specials about that shit treating homosexuality as if it was a disease. bad enough, religion also has an influence as well so put that in the mix. you have to understand something. in the black community, homosexuals are looked down as the lowest of the low. back 10 years ago when america was in the dumps, the whole entire homophobia thing was in full swing in the black community to the point where it became a witchhunt for gay guys. you had j.l. king, who was a gay guy, with the whole "downlow brother" movement, making books, basically profitting off of homophobia in the black community. it was so bad that the man was actually on oprah encouraing women particularly black women on this bullshit where they should look for signs that their husband, boyfriend or whoever was gay. the reason behind that was he brought this idea that gay black men were infecting black women with hiv. he singlehandedly set the gay black community 100 years back because of that shit. dude was basically profitting off of that shit. basically shitting on gay black men like himself for fucking dollars. he would demonize gay black men where they couldn't come out without being shitted on and then at the same time, say that they couldn't be closeted because they were ruining lives and getting women sick.homophobia was at an all time high within the black community at that point. bet was actually hosting fucking specials about that shit treating homosexuality as if it was a disease. bad enough, religion also has an influence as well so put that in the mix.
the typical image in the black community of a black gay guy is basically a fem queen. bad enough, being a gay man in the black community is equated with losing your manhood and being treated like a woman even when you're NOT. you are NOT seen as being a man regardless if they're masculine or effeminate. you are just seen as a have not. there is NO safety net for black gays in the black community because of that. everybody is pretty much looking out for themselves. the black lgbt community is WEAK by itself.
