Too Old for Pokemon?

Agh ... finally beat the Champion. Used lots of Revive and Hyper Potion. Good thing I got a lot of 'em. Here are the Pokemon I used:

Infernape Lv 55
Lucario Lv 51
Gastrodon Lv 50
Dialga Lv 50
Drapion Lv 50
Staraptor Lv 48

Sounds like you had it rough too. I think I got lucky when I beat her lol. My team was so untrained.

I'm going to need some help soon to make some evolutions. I need to evolve Seadra into Kingdra soon. Plus Kadabra, Haunter, Machoke, and whoever the other one is I can't remember. I just need someone to trade with and trade back. Not sure how to do that over the WiFi safely, but i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.

Are you stuck like you can't get her to show up, or you just can't beat her? Or have you just not gotten there yet?

I'm JUST now getting to the whole "Three Lake" fiasco, and am heading to Lake Acuity...

Just as soon as I find a decent flyer. Right now I'm soaring on a level 2 Starly. #-o

Haha. It didn't take me long to evolve Starly into Staravia. I knew I'd need one to use for Fly in my team so I just kept on training. There are places where you can catch Staravia...I just can't remember where at the moment.
 
Staravia evolves from Starly. It's the second form, Staraptor is the final evolution of Starly. It can be found in both Diamond and Pearl. Starly is very common early on, and Staravia is fairly common later on.
 
so, random wireless question

Can you use the wireless thing off of your own home wireless internet (like the Wii) or do you have to go find some wi-fi spot... because I live in the middle of nowhere, and I can't evolve my Haunter (which is making me want to cry)

You can use the wireless on your own wireless internet. I had to get a firmware update for my router, but thats it. My Wii still won't go wireless lol. I know the feeling of frustration at trade evolution. My poor Kadabra may never evolve.
 
Yeah, tho I've yet to actually make use of the friend codes.

I have as well. I actually got tired of them when they moved onto the second region. It all just started to seem too repetetive to me. Not to mention when I was flipping through channels one day I heard what sounded like new voices, and changed the channel faster.

Yeah they changed voice actors and everyone sounds okay...except for Ash. He sounds like he smokes a pack a day now. I hardly watch it anymore though, the only episodes I enjoy are the gym battles.

Haha, that's what he sounds like. I couldn't figure it out :P

Does he win every gym battle by actually battling now? I mean just battling and nothing else involved? I remember they were creative to make it so every battle wasn't the same by making things happen to make it different. Made it interesting knowing each gym battle would be different in more ways than the pokemon being used. The last ones I watched were in...Johto I think. That's when things started seeming repetitive to me and I started sticking to just the games.

I don't watch them religiously but sometimes he has to challenge twice because he gets beaten but there's usually a storyline that he and the gym leader get involved in.
 
After having just finished the game with a good 66 hours of play and having no desire to want to play again, I think unfortunately the answer to the thread question is now yes for me. :(

That's too bad, but it's obvious we all grow out of some things eventually. I guess pokemon is one for you.

For me, i'm still into it. More of making a team than the main game. I'm working on my team now, getting the effort values to make them as strong as I can get them. Then I start raising them all to level 100. Besides, i've still got to get Arceus, who I hear is level 80 and has very high base stats.
 
I've found several plates, included two Dread Plates. I've yet to find the Dragon Plate, at least as far as I can remember.

Darkrai was a pain to catch, but I did manage it with a pokeball. As for a Shiny Umbreon...that's not easy without cheating, tho the poke radar makes it easier.
 
I used an AR to get the event item.

I'll be glad to mix records so you can get it. I have the Azure Flute(i think thats the name) as well, so if that holds true you would also get that.
 
I'll PM you when I can start working on time we can set up to use the WiFi Union Room. I've got some stuff to do before I have time to sit down and do that.

We can trade in the union room right? I need to evolve my Horsea into a Seadra, then trade it with someone who will trade it back so it will evolve into Kingdra.
 
Don't worry about trading something like a Starly or whatever lol. Since it's just for the evolution, it doesn't matter.

I'm thinking of getting myself a Deoxys like that anyway, but traded ones fly in leveling, and a Mixed Deoxys will be interesting to raise.

Tho I have something i'm going to test soon with the Deoxys I already have.

Anyway, i've just got to get Horsea to evolve into Seadra and grab the evolution item. I've still got a few levels to go and then I've got to track down the item.
