Among the many things covered in the Geneva Convention are the humane treatment of captured enemy troops...Covered in detail...What they could have , what they couldn't have , and when use of deadly force was appropriate and when it wasn't.

The problem with your premise is that Bin Laden et al are not signatories to the Geneva Convention.

WHat you dont follow is for instance your statement that our troops will be treated to torture because of Bush. In 1985 Robert Stetham was not tortured and shot to death by muslim extremist because of Bush, 17 Sailors on the COLE did not have a BUSH excuse, the Marines in Beruit had no such "insider" enemy as Bush, The people who lost their lives in Kenya and Tanzania (Nope No Bush), Saudia Arabia at the Khobar Towers.......I could go on and on and on and on.

Point is they never have subscribed to our agreed upon modern western standards of war. They will arm a little girl with explosives. These people have no soul.

Try another angle. How did we win the revolutionary war? We changed how we fought. How did we combat the U-boat threat in WWII? We created a new way to transport and also a new way to prosecute the war on submarines. How did we win the cold war with the USSR? We choked them to death financially because we made their military jump at their own shadows forcing them to dump everything they had into tryin to best our military. How did the UDT special warfare guys make such an impact in Vietnam? The cong thought they were ghosts because they created a method of warfare that matched the enemies abilities and terrain. Sept 11 told us that our police force and courts approach to terror does not work. We prosecuted that in the 90's and they came back with a better plan. DOnt tell me to prosecute them like a car thief. It is foolish.

Guerrilla warfare was invented long before our Revolutionary War.

Over many hundreds of years of European history, guerrilla warfare was used many times. All the way back to the Romans versus Hannibal in fact.

I actually detest the glibness of people sitting at home mocking those suffering torture and defending, advocating, and allowing for torture and other practices that defy everything that America means, and basic human rights represent.

Torture, like no other subject, reveals the sort of creature one is dealing with. People who as so stupid, so arrogant, so sociopathic to believe that it's acceptable to torture prisoners of war are the very same people who would abuse an animal, or a child, or an elder. Their mindset is abusive, violent, filled with anger and rage. These are the sort of people who would work in Saddam's torture chambers and rape rooms. Funny thing about our Republicans -- they said the trumped-up war was "worth it" because America ended Saddam's regime of torture. Now, when their own ideological soul-mate and president tortures, well, they applaud. How does that work, that level of hypocrisy?

Confusing also is the great esteem they hold for Senator McCain but then completely ignore his knowledge and advice on the unreliability of torture as an effective method of interrogation ..... it just doesn't make any sense!
