Triple G Appreciation thread

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a great day today, and I’m relieved that the storm went left and you were not blown away or flooded.
Now I’ve been looking at more storms and hurricanes on the Netweather site, and there is another on the way. It’s Harold, and I’m feeling concerned about it. I hope it keeps away from you.

No storms here, just a pleasant Summers day, which I spent with good friends. So I’m late this evening, but happy.

(*8*) Good morning, Boris, Rob, John, unload

Finally, the cold water is cool and had to ad some hot. First good shower in two months.

Off to pew duty

Hi, Gary, (*8*) I am glad you have had a nice, cold shower. I hope the rest of your day is going well for you.

I had a good day today, and will soon be in bed.

Good Friday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I trust that you got through your tropical weather OK. A comparable storm in Florida would be no big deal, but California has mountains, canyons, arroyos, burn scars, etc. which complicate the wind and flooding impacts, so it might have been an entirely different beast out there. I'm sure you enjoyed the cooler weather and the chance to get a nice cool shower.

I guess it's now back to your regular desert heat.

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a lovely day today.

Unfortunately, I’m having some kind of internet problems today. I hope to get it fixed over the weekend.

(*8*) Good day, Rob, John, Boris, Dan, unload

Our temperatures have dropped to 102-112F

I got notice the insurance company is not going to renew my house my insurance due to Wildland Urban Intermix. :grrr: I can get only fire coverage and will have to go to the state insurance pool for other coverage, which is minimal coverage at a very high price.

I have been getting all my meds at Walmart for $10 for 90 days. They have jacked that up to $40.

The electric company has added a $112 extra charge over my regular bill.

What next? I am going to run out of money way earlier than was planned.

That is a lovely new model. Has your internet been sorted, Rob?

I have been missing BillyT and even more so today, the beginning of the college football season. Billy had his beloved Florida Gators and I my "Holy Men" as Billy called Notre Dame. We had so much fun following our teams together.

Happy Saturday Gary. (*8*) I miss Billy to pieces too, but I hope the memories you two shared about the college football season will bring a smile to your face despite the sadness. (group)

Off to see the doctor in an hour. Just a routine checkup.

A new heat wave is here. Today was only 120F  Yet another heat wave.

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I hope the doctors appointment has gone well for you with nothing serious found. I’m sorry you have another 120F heatwave. Hopefully you’ll be okay in your new a/c at home.

I’m listening to some music this evening.

Good Wednesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Well, it looks like we've missed yet another hurricane, but it looks like a part of north Florida won't be so lucky. Idalia is going into an area that hasn't seen hurricanes in a long time.

I'm sorry that you're having yet another desert heat wave. I guess you just have to sit in your AC and do the best to keep cool. I do have some ice cream, but I'm afraid it will melt before it gets to you.

Is it football season again? I'm sorry you won't have Billy cheering on the Gators this year. I'm also a Gator fan, and I suppose they're having a game Saturday, though to be honest, I haven't checked yet. That is, if they don't cancel the game due to Idalia. And good luck to your Holy Men.

Update on the Gators. They are playing at Utah Thursday night at 8 PM on ESPN, so that would be 5 o'clock for you. It's an away game, so the storm shouldn't affect it.

(*8*) I hate phone menus. Off to folder duty. Will be watching the chrisgator.gif Thursday.

Happy Hump Day, Gary. (*8*) I hope folder dut will go smoothly for you.
I am relaxing this evening, and contemplating the warm weather we have due by the weekend. I think it will get to 78F….;)

We do not get to 78F either. Down to, that is. Our low is in the 90s. (*8*)

Only 116 today.

Good Labor Day morning, Gary! (*8*)

It's good that you got another respite from the heat. I hope it's still lasting, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's already gone away.

I hope you had a good pew duty day yesterday.

Your Holy Men are off to a good start this year. As for the Gators, well, I'm just wondering if it's too early to ratchet down my expectations for them.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John

Saturday, we had a massive rainstorm making the washes run and leaving everything wet. Then yesterday the sun came out raising humidity to sauna levels.
The drain on the central a/c plugged up and flooded the garage. Hopefully that has been sorted now.

Still very humid today. At least the cold water is cool enough for a good shower.

Will have lunch with a friend from the coast.

Maybe the gator.gifwill get their act together. fingerscrossed.png

Good evening, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a relaxing day today. I’m glad you have had some rain, but sorry it was so humid afterwards.

I’m okay, and, as forecast, the temperature reached 78F today. 86F may be achieved by Thursday as we have an early September heatwave. It’s all to do with the remnants of hurricane Franklin. Naughty hurricane,:spank::spank:

(*8*) Good morning, Rob, RM, John, Boris, Dan

The a/c air handler is no longer leaking, and the garage floor is dry except for a small puddle. We have been fairly humid, and I hope that has passed.

It's Wednesday that means folder duty.

Rob, I hope you are surviving the heat wave. Maybe you can get a room at the Ice Hotel.
