Triple G Appreciation thread

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I'm glad you finally got the folders made, though the copier fought you every step of the way.

Speaking of April Fools, last night I was listening to a radio station playing a sort of a soul/R&B genre. But in the middle of it, they played an old Perry Como song, claiming the station management wanted to get easy listening programming on the station. Well, it was an April Fool's joke. But people were calling in and texting them, saying WTF are you doing?!

#-ooh, no next Sunday is Easter and I have not ordered eggs yet. Time to get busy.

Good evening, Gary. (*8*) Oh dear me, you’ll end up with aching paws!:lol: Well, I hope you are having a great day, despite all those millions of eggs to work on! ;)

I had a lovely bike ride today in some really nice, sunny, dry weather. I wish it could be like that all year round.

"Really nice, sunny, dry weather"? in the UK. No way(*S*)

We are starting to warm up. It was 83 today and will be hitting 100F in two weeks. :( Right now it is the perfect time of the year, but it will not last.

The first egg delivery has arrived. I'll be running the egg coloring machine 24/7

Good Monday afternoon, Gary! (*8*)

Next Sunday is Easter, and you've got all those eggs to color. You'd better get busy.

Wow, you sure don't get a break from the weather. Two weeks of pleasant temps, and you're back to broil? I don't know how long I'd last.

Face it, global warming is here to stay. They're now getting the weather in the UK that used to be typical of Spain. You're going to have go further and further north to escape summer's heat.

wind and man.jpg

(*8*) Good afternoon, John, Rob, Christian, Andrew, Michael. Boris, Billy

Yesterday a strong, cold wind arrived and continues today. I dusted a couple days ago, but now everything is covered again. I can smell the dust.

The church wants 75 copies of the worship folder for Sunday. We had only 46 people last Sunday and I believe only 60 copies will be needed, but then I am not the boss.

The tradition of Easter breakfast at church is returning after a 3 year absence due to the Chinese bat fever. The men prepare it and it is delicious and all you can eat. Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, juice, coffee  It's hard to stay awake through the sermon after that large meal

Happy Hump Day, Gary. (*8*) Well, I hope you are having a great Hump Day. Ours has been a wet one!:p:lol:

I’m doing well, and hoping to go to that grand old city of York tomorrow, where, in the early 1840’s, George Hudson, the ‘Railway King’, vowed to “Mak All Railways Cum T’ York!”. Or so he was supposed to have said.

burnpile.jpg

(*8*) Good morning everyone. This morning we will be burning the big pile of palm tree debris. Hope we do not have a breeze as it will blow the smoke into my house. *(that is a stock photo and not my place. note the green weeds.

Happy to report I did not burn down Big River. (y)

Good evening, Gary. (*8*) I’m glad the burning went safely and that all is safe and well. I hope the rest of your day is going well for you.

I got to York today, and bought a model carriage. It means I can now recreate the formation of the last steam hauled train to run between Alnmouth and Alnwick in 1966. Here’s a photo’ of the prototype:

(*8*) Good evening, Rob.

Did you run into the Good Old Duke of York?
