I kind of think of teeth like a big urban freeway system. You have to constantly fix, repair, rebuild, reinforce, etc., so that they remain usable.

It's 11AM and we are at 112F. Do not worry, it will be getting hot this afternoon, could be close to 120.

Wow, you're under the broiler out there! Stay out of the heat and keep cool! Maybe it's a good day for pew duty-- churches tend to keep their sanctuaries cool in the summer, or at least they do here.

It hit 121 yesterday. Our pastor keeps the church cool because he gets hot in his robles. So far, my a/c is holding my place at 78 :)

That is the third scorpion I found in the last few days. The water was so hot at 9AM I was almost boiled alive. It's not yet noon and the temperature is 118. Might get hot this afternoon :badgrin:

Wow, you're just having incredible heat this year! And scorpions? :eek: I'd be like, I'm outta here!

You know, I might see if I can send you a feral chicken from Key West. I once saw a hen chase down and kill a scorpion down there. You pay $5, they take a scorpion out of the jar, and sic the chicken on it.
 
I had a dog that would strike scorpions with her paw until they were dead. She was very fast and never got stung.

Wow! I can't even imagine what it would feel like going outside when it's 127 degrees! :eek: Scorpions, and a rattlesnake last year? Hmm...

Well, at least that picture reminds you that it can get chilly in the winter.

But I remember being on the floor of the southwest Utah desert during Geology Field Camp many years ago. It was 106, but there was still some snow on the mountains in the distance, mocking us.
