Triple G Appreciation thread

Happy New Year, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're doing well, and that your weather is cool, but not too cold. We're having the coolest weather of the winter so far here, with it dropping to 47 yesterday morning and 50 this morning. But at least we're going up to the low 70s with no humidity. That's after rain on Thursday, and continued, cloudy and cool on Friday and Saturday.

Happy New Year, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are having a great day today, the first of the new year.

I have been enjoying a nice quiet day today.

(*8*) Good afternoon, RM, bluestar, Rob, John, Andrew

Had a weekend of multiple football games o_O which will continue for the next few weeks.

Our weather is much like yours, John. Al the rain stayed on the coast.

Just relaxing today.

(*8*) Good evening, Andrew, Rob, John, RM, bluestar

We had pea soup fog this morning. Couldn't see more than 25 feet.

Good Friday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Wow, I'd never think you'd have a fog like that in the desert. I hope you're doing well.

Our weather is going to be sloppy for the next couple of days. In the 70s today, up to 80 tomorrow, but with lots of wind and rain, cooler Sunday but with clouds and rain, coolish on Monday, and back up to the low 80s on Tuesday, with lots on wind and rain, and then cooler. I guess this is sort of the El Niño weather pattern, we don't normally have this many cloudy and rainy days in winter, especially while remaining a bit coolish.

Fog is unusual in the desert, but with all the rain on the coast our humidity hit over 75% with no rain.

We will be in the 50s for a high and 30s for lows the next week.

Good Friday evening, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are okay, and will have a lovely weekend. That fog is most strange, something that we in England do quite well! I’ve looked it up and there used to be something called Smog, especially in London. It was a mixture of fog and smoke. The last really bad Smog was in 1952. Thousands of people died from it.

Well, no fog here, just cold and some showers. Despite that I hope to be out, on the bike, over the weekend.

Good Wednesday afternoon, Gary! (*8*)

I hope folder duty goes well for you today.

Sounds like you're getting some cold weather out there. Keep your rabbit ears wrapped up in blankets and woolen hats.

The weather here is a little cooler after a storm last night and a cloudy and windy, but warm day yesterday. The rest of the week is supposed to be much like this, with cloudy and windy days, temps up and down, and chances of rain here and there. I've looked at the last week or so, and temps have averaged out to near normal for this time of year.

Hope you're feeling well. Sit by the fire, find some good programs to watch on TV, and get your rest.

(*8*) Good afternoon John, Rob, RM, Andrew,

I am stuck in the house today. The wind is blowing 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70. That is strong enough to blow me over because of my problem with balance and walking.

I hope the wind dies by Saturday morning for Bible study and shopping at Wallyworld.

We are warmer at 57 right now and last night in the high 40s. No rain in slight.

Folder duty went well.

Rob, I know smog well. When I was a kid in Los Angeles, the sky was brown with it. It has been cleaned up.

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I hope you are okay and that those stormy gales will be gone by Saturday for you.

No gales like that over here for once, but it is about to get very cold, with a snow by next Wednesday. They say the snow will be disruptive. I’m guessing they mean a foot of level snow. We will find out next week.

It was 32F this morning Cold.gif My heat pump is finding little heat to jump. After three hours, the house is at 71. Think I'll buy electric socks to keep my ears warm

Hi, Gary. (*8*) I am glad your house has reached 71F. That’s something. I’m not sure about using those electric socks for your ears though. You might short circuit them, and your ears might blow up! :eek:p:lol:

It is late at night here, so I am going to bed next! ;)

You are right, Rob (*8*)

It is a little warmer this morning.

Hi, Gary. (*8*)  I thought so! Oh dear, you’ll have to be more careful! :p:lol: I hope you are having a great day.

The cold weather starts tomorrow over here, and on Monday will not get above freezing! Then there will be the snowstorm, but on Tuesday not Wednesday…
