Triple G Appreciation thread

Good Thursday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope your new eyeglasses work out well for you. Wow, it's too early to be having 100 degree weather. I hope it cools down for you. We finally got some thunderstorms and rain here Tuesday night, and the temps are supposed to be nice for the next couple of days, with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s, and lows in the mid to upper 60s. We have Pridefest here this weekend. The parade is Sunday, but they're predicting rain that day. Hopefully it will hold off at least until after the parade.

(*8*) Good evening John

I have signed up for cable internet and a smart phone. I have said I would never have a cell phone. but lately it has been all but impossible to sign up and even log in with one. The installation takes place next Tuesday. It will replace the land line with its 7.5 meg internet with 300 meg. The bill will drop from $140/month to $55 with unlimited data. :wheee:

We continue at the high 90s, but next week it will back the 80s and maybe some rain. I hope it doesn't rain on your parade.

Good Wednesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope your smartphone and cable internet is working out well for you. I hear you about needing a smartphone to sign up for anything. When I try to access any personal account on the computer, they always send a code to my cell phone that I have to enter so I can get in.

I hope your weather has cooled back down. Right now it's heating up here, with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 70s, with high humidity. The tropical heat has returned, a bit early. On Monday afternoon we had an occurrence I rarely see here-- for about 20 minutes small hail fell, with hardly any rain accompanying it. Though a deluge finally fell a little later.

The Pridefest this past weekend went well. I went in the exhibit area on Saturday, volunteering at the MCC booth for awhile, and then checking out the organizations and vendors. It was a good day, though a bit windy. I did watch the parade on Sunday, with thousands of people. I decided not to go into the exhibit area that day, because it's always crowded after the parade, and they were predicting rain. It turns out that they did suspend the Pridefest because of thunderstorms later on, probably due to lightning.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John

No new internet or phone. I had a friend set it up for me and he got it wrong. The service provider has been trying to get in touch with him to get it straighten out, but the guy is out of town. The current internet connection has dropped out three times already today.

Looks like 62F today with a chance of rain. It's been windy with black clouds. I have seen hail here, but not for a long time.

I have been to only one Pride parade. It was in West Hollywood. We do not have them here in cowboy and Indian country. 🤠

Hope there is some movement on the new internet today.

:wheee: The new internet is now installed. 300mb instead of 7.5. Everything goes so fast and streaming TV is much clearer

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope your new internet is working out well for you. Wow, you're hitting 104 degrees already? That's not good! Over here it has actually cooled down, with highs in the low and mid 80s, and lows in the low to mid 60s, and lower humidity. It might even drop down to 59 tomorrow morning, and it looks like it will continue to be nice next week. There's no rain in the forecast, but that could become a problem with drought developing. So far fires haven't been an issue, but I can remember some very dry years, when we'd get smoke from fires in the Everglades.

good afternoon, John (*8*)

The new internet is great, and I am having fun with the new cell phone. Don't know how to use it, but will get help Monday. Can make and receive calls and managed to get it to connect to my wi-fi.

The UPS driver that delivered the phone was a major babe. Looked about 16, blond and beautiful. I wish I could have kept him and send the phone back

We will be under 100 next week, dropping to the 70s with rain by Friday.

We get lots of smoke when the farmers burn their fields in winter.

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I can understand being smitten by the youthful beauty of your UPS delivery guy. Every once in a while I see a young man that looks so cute I can't believe he's real.

What, you haven't even started on dyeing your eggs yet, and you have to deliver them all over the world on Easter morning? Well, you'd better hop to it! :cowboy:

I hope you're doing well. I posted the story of my travails with my dentist over in my thread. I just hope that when it's all over, that I don't have to have anything else major done on my teeth for a long, long time.

Happy Easter!

I usually look forward to the day after Easter. Half price candy. But this year I'm flying to Boston. My agenda includes a Red Sox game Wednesday vs. Seattle; I've never been to Fenway Park.

Now, those eggs won't dye themselves. Unless you have one of those "special" hens.

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you had a great Easter, and that everything is going well for you. I hope things aren't too hot in the desert yet. I saw California is expecting some precipitation, at least on the Coast and snow in the Sierra's, and I suspect that means your temps will be held down for a day or two.

Good early Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope everything is going well for you, and that you'll have a great pew duty day. I also hope that it hasn't gotten too hot in the desert yet.

HOT?? NOT HERE. Right now, there is a thunderstorm with winds in 60s and 70s, and the temperature is 67F.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I'm glad you had several days of rain, and that it's still cooler where you are. I love the way a good rain seems to bring everything back to life, and it must really be spectacular when that happens in the desert. I suspect it will bring out a fantastic bloom, but there probably hasn't been enough time for that yet. I hope you have a good pew duty day.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope the weather is still rather pleasant where you are, though I know that won't last much longer. Over here the heat season has already started, with temps in the low 90s and summer like humidity with dew points in the low 70s. No chance of rain though.

I hope you're doing OK, and that you have a good pew duty day.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're doing OK. I see that you've got a new phone, but you're having issues with Just Us Boys. Hope you get all that sorted out and that you can enjoy your new electronics.

Has the heat set in yet where you live? It has certainly hit here, typical hot sticky summer weather, with temperatures going up to 90+ every day for a week. On Friday we had a thunderstorm here, with heavy rain and a lot of close lightning strikes all around me, the most intense lightning storm I've seen in a while. Remarkably the power never went off.

Have a good pew duty day!

(*8*) Happy pew day,

The heat wave is over. We are back to the 80s, which is perfect here.

Andrew sorted the JUB problem.

Now having trouble with downloads on the new computer. I get the message they were blocked to protect the computer from damage. Some downloaded, some not. Duck, Duck, Go worked fine.

Off to pew duty
