I'm okay, just as busy as ever these days, but today is a bank holiday and I have a bit of time away from things today.

I give up. Since the old computer has returned to perfect operation, I put the new one away and will be using the old one as long as keeps working.

I hope you old computer is working fine for you. From the weather forecasts, it looks like your summer heat has returned, and no doubt will be with you until the fall.

It's hot and humid here, with daily highs in the 90s. We're supposed to get lots of rain and storms in the next week, but they've held off so far.

I hope you've got your computer issues settled with no further problems. I've noticed that there have been flooding rains in the Southwest deserts over the past couple of days. Is any of that getting to you?

Am I getting any rain? YES. Tuesday night the storm took out the electrical grid, the telephone grid, the cell phone system, washed out the railroad track, and blocked access roads to my area. We have been without power the last two mornings and just got it back.

Skies are blue and cloudless at this time and 85F. Hooe the rain is gone.

Both computers are working fine.
 
WOW! Gary, are you OK? :eek: This sounds like what it's like in Florida after we get hit by a hurricane! Do you need anything, and can anyone get to you if you need something or have an emergency?

Speaking of which, that reminds me that I need to make sure I'm stocked up on hurricane supplies, flashlights and batteries, etc., before the storms threaten us around August and September here.
 
I'm ok, John. Did not take any damage to the house. There is a man that lives across the street who checks on me. If there is an emergency, the county has helicopters to get to us. I have a good supply of food and batteries on hand.

It hit 108 today.

Now that the power seems stable, I will reset all the clocks.
