On-Topic Trump Bans Syrian Refugees

I think it's hysterical that most guys on here fully support a religion that thinks we are all dirty pigs and deserve to die because we are gay. Some people are too smart for their own good.

Wow.

Just when you think it can't get darker or uglier.

This will definitely make Trump's base rock hard.

Expect more attacks on Muslims in the US from his knuckle dragging Gauleiters like we saw this past week.

It must be time to turn the Statue of Liberty into scrap.

Actually, someone who uses Al Jazerra (or however you spell it) as a source at JUB is darker than any of this.

Worship at your throat-slicing altar.

Disgraceful...even Alfie didn't support throat slicers

And yet you side with politicians who'd advocate the same (or at least strip all your rights as a close second).

Enough with trying to paint a billion plus people as evil maniacs. It makes you look crazy... er

You're petrified of even little kids now. Snowflake.

I am pretty sure mikey did not vote for Clinton and company...theirs is the only party that sucks Iranian cock.

Use your pejoratives, but people who can read can see through you.

^ And of course the same holds true for the nakedly ignorant right wing reactionary racists.

How about both of you start adding things that pertain to the topic, isn't some nonsense rhetoric and is actually worth reading? No one here defends violent religions and if you're going to make that claim, prove it. Separating the radical and non-radical does not =/= defending violent religion either. If you think so, you still have a lot to learn when it comes to reading comprehension.

His stance is completely hypocritical. His justification is "because they do it too", which is elementary school logic. The worst part of our Government tells them to believe in the boogeyman and they eat it up. There's nothing much you can expect from these people.

In the years that I have been posting here I have never witnessed any contributor posting in supporting Islamic terrorists advocating such views.

I may further add that all my interactions (many) including sexual with Muslim men from countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, and Iraq have been very satisfying....with the added observation that their behaviour was always highly civilised. I appreciate that there are human beings whose behaviour I would determine obnoxious, including many who identify as Christian, Atheist, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu etc.

Supporting muslim immigration is supporting Islam.

Supporting refugees is a long standing American tradition that reflects the values of the United States clearly demonstrated at the time of the founding of the American Republic when religious affiliation did not determine the worthiness, or not of the immigrant.

Of course he didn't vote for Clinton and company. He's Canadian.

So finally, a federal judge has issued a nation wide order to block Trump's immigration ban.

In Seattle, U.S. District Judge James Robart ruled that Washington state and Minnesota had standing to challenge Trump's order, which government lawyers disputed, and said they showed their case was likely to succeed.

The judge's written order, released late Friday, said it's not the court's job to "create policy or judge the wisdom of any particular policy promoted by the other two branches" of government.

The court's job "is limited to ensuring that the actions taken by the other two branches comport with our country's laws."

White House spokesperson Sean Spicer released a statement late Friday saying they "will file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the president, which we believe is lawful and appropriate."

Soon after, the White House sent out a new statement that removed the word "outrageous."

It also turns out that, once again, it was Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller who penned the Executive Order without any consultation.

And this is pretty embarassing.

And shameful.

Welcome to Trumpistan.

A former prime minister of Norway has spoken of his shock after he was held and questioned at Washington Dulles airport because of a visit to Iran three years ago.

Kjell Magne Bondevik, who served as prime minister of Norway from 1997-2000 and 2001-05, flew into the US from Europe on Tuesday afternoon to attend this week’s National Prayer Breakfast.

He was held for an hour after customs agents saw in his diplomatic passport that he had been to Iran in 2014. Bondevik said his passport also clearly indicated that he was the former PM of Norway.

“Of course I fully understand the fear of letting terrorists come into this country,” he told ABC7. “It should be enough when they found that I have a diplomatic passport, [that I’m a] former prime minister.

“It’s quite clear that a pack of monkeys would have done a better job in this order’s preparation," said Steve Schmidt, a GOP strategist and veteran of the George W. Bush White House. "And it speaks volumes of how the West Wing functions. This is bush league amateurism, and the result is handing an enormous propaganda victory to ISIS, destabilizing America’s key relationships with key NATO allies, and ceding of a key American moral authority on these issues.”

Not to put too fine a point on it.

Meanwhile...the US has revoked all the NEXUS cards for permanent residents of Canada from people originating from one of the seven countries where Trump has no business interests or there is no oil.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...enship-in-restricted-countries-cbsa-1.3966514

Citing U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a CBSA spokesperson said in an email that FAST memberships have also been revoked from all such individuals. FAST is a program similar to Nexus that is meant to speed up commercial shipments across the border.

The email goes on to say that memberships of dual citizens have not been cancelled. But CBC Toronto has learned of at least seven Canadian-born and dual citizens who have reportedly had their Nexus memberships revoked in the wake of a U.S. executive order barring entry to passport holders from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Toronto-based lawyer Cyndee Todgham Cherniak said she has been contacted by at least two Canadian-born citizens with Muslim-sounding names who received notices.

What a total clusterfuck.

So please, step out from your boudoir, grab a Muslim lover's hand and march for equality and gay rights in their countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, and Iraq. Let us know how that works out.
