Humor-Satire Trump Staff Picks, Co-Conspirators and the Revolving Door of Departures [2024 Edition]

The Trump Administration has been "doubling up" on some of their failing Cabinet Secretaries. Marco Rubio is the Secretary of State but he's also the National Archivist.

Sean Duffy in addition to having to deal with planes falling out of the sky as the Secretary of Transportation, is also the NASA Administrator- a position usually based out of Florida or Texas. Sean is looking visibly older.

Here's Sean when he was on Fox News a couple of years ago:

This is Sean at a NASA press conference this week:

Honestly, when I saw him, I wondered if he had cancer. He's only 53 years old.

Trump knows that cabinet appointments requiring Senate confirmation are likely getting more difficult as he scarpes the scudge off the bottom of the barrel full of shit he has been dipping into for his picks.

So the easiest route is to now consolidate power by making everyone take up multiple portfolios of departments and agencies.

Also worth mentioning that Ka$h Patel tweeted that a suspect had been captured in the Kirk shooting, triggering the news media outlets to report that a suspect was in custody.

Patel had to later tweet that the "suspect" had been released. In other words, the police detained the wrong person and Patel broke FBI policy by commenting on an ongoing investigation before he had all of the facts. This is why the FBI usually lets the FBI agents "on the ground" handle communications.

This is why Patel is another example of a "post turtle".

Ka$h is being lambasted for bungling the FBI's response to the Kirk shooting and it's MAGA that is pissed. Today, he said that he would be in Utah at the press conference to give an update on the case... and then he canceled the press conference.

Of course, he fired the FBI Assistant Directors who had the expertise to lead big investigations and manhunts. Patel also fired the head of the Utah FBI office. According to a lawsuit filed by several leaders in the FBI, they were fired because they refused to disclose their voting record. According to their accounts, the firings were ordered by Stephen Miller on behalf of Trump.

Republicans were told by FBI leadership that confirming an FBI Director with no relevant experience would be a disaster. The Republicans in the Senate rubber stamped him anyway. If this suspect is not apprehended, MAGA will blame Patel and Bongino.

Now, Patel — a former podcast host whom many bureau veterans saw as too inexperienced for the job — must lead an agency in turmoil as it pursues the most high-profile investigation of his tenure so far...

The Kirk shooting investigation is not the only pressure Patel is facing. Just hours before the incident, Patel was hit with an explosive federal lawsuit accusing him of orchestrating a politically motivated purge of the bureau’s leadership. The three plaintiffs in the case — a former acting FBI director and two other former FBI leaders — alleged that Patel and other allies of Trump ousted them after their refusal to carry out political errands.

In a remarkable foreshadowing of what would transpire later in the day, the lawsuit also portrayed Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino as fixated on their social media presence and alleged they told agents they should be “posting more about their successful investigations and other ‘FBI wins’ on social media.”

It must be hard to be a totally unqualified hire to head an agency you are supposed to destroy.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the latest round of Trump nominees who are being approved en masse by the Republican Senate...

Included is the US Ambassador to the Bahamas, Herschel Walker. On a practical note, this provides a new population of women for Walker to abuse, impregnate and an expense account to pay for their abortions.

Ambassador nominee Walker was lauded and introduced by Ted Cruz. 🤮

Not to be overshadowed, the motley crew included James Holtsnider, the ambassador nominee to Jordan, a career State Department employee who may be the only American diplomat to have an imam say, "Bismillah! You need to trim that beard!".

TrumpCo. is just trolling all the other countries with their diplomatic appointments. Certainly that is our opinion with the US ambassador to Canada.

But we are obviously now scraping the underside of the barrel with the o/s picks to be confirmed.

If I remember correctly, doesn't the other country have the right to reject any ambassador not to their liking?

I can't even think of the last time that a country would have done this. I imagine that if they have real concerns, they would raise these through a back-channel and hope the nomination is withdrawn...but to not issue an 'Agreement' for an appointed diplomat publicly would be seen as a significant diplomatic disaster.

Some fun now, eh Ka$h?

‘It’s unacceptable’: Inside growing concerns about Patel’s FBI leadership

...Patel’s upbeat tone contrasted with frustration and anger, both inside and outside the FBI, over his handling of the most high-profile moment of his tenure so far. Some FBI employees told CNN they found it galling for Patel to claim personal credit for the most successful parts of the investigation.

After all, it was Patel who had posted on Wednesday that a “subject” was in custody, a claim he had to walk back less than two hours later. Patel’s style also struck the FBI employees as not in keeping with how previous FBI directors handled similar situations, normally trying to credit employees instead of themselves.

Other FBI employees found it ironic that Patel thanked some of the bureau’s support staff key to investigations — since he has overseen moves to decimate those ranks.

With Andrew Bailey being brought in to shore up leadership at the FBI...some are saying it is only a matter of time before Patel gets named as ambassador to some country we've never heard the name of ... I would say though, that Bailey will still be charged with gutting the FBI of anyone not swearing fealty to Trump before the Consitution and laws of the land.

There's already discussion in legal circles that Patel may have already contaminated the jury pool in Utah with his statement that say that the shooter is guilty and there's DNA evidence, etc. Patel has been adjudicating the suspect from the podium, which is an anathema in a country that is supposed to recognize "innocent until proven guilty". Don't be surprised if the suspect's attorneys file motions citing Patel's statements, tweets and press conference footage.

There's a reason why those attorneys and media professionals were in government- and there is going to be consequences to their firings.

Meanwhile, Patel flew off the rails in a Senate hearing, screaming over Schiff's questioning...I was amazed that he was allowed to go on as long as he did, but I suppose the gavel is in the hands of a GQPer looking to get some good sound bites for the right wing news oultets.

Patel has to go.

At least Tillis took Patel and the far to task...kind of.

Meanwhile, An SC justice took a hard swipe against Bondi.

“Every time I listen to a lawyer-trained representative saying we should criminalize free speech in some way, I think to myself, that law school failed,” Sotomayor said while speaking on a panel Tuesday morning at New York Law School.
