Another pasty little fuck.

He kind of looks like those guys in British movies that are credited as "street punk #3".

Re: Trump Staff Picks

I'm beginning to see a pattern here:

CNN suspends Paris Dennard pending investigation of misconduct allegations

CNN said Wednesday evening that Paris Dennard has been suspended from his commentary role, pending an examination of the allegations against him in a Wednesday Washington Post story.

The Post reported that Dennard was fired from a job at Arizona State University "for making sexually explicit comments and gestures toward women."

The Post obtained a copy of an ASU report that described the university's 2014 internal investigation into Dennard's conduct. According to the newspaper, the report "describes a series of inappropriate incidents often initiated by Dennard with the two women in 2013 and 2014." ...

Later, Dennard became a high-profile surrogate for the Trump campaign, appearing frequently on television and in other forums. He is well known to CNN viewers as a political commentator for the network, and for his staunch defenses of President Trump.

And the Koch Brother's inside man is out via Tweet...

Donald McGahn’s departure: From the frying pan into the fire [WaPo]
White House Counsel Donald McGahn, who has led the Trump administration’s efforts to reshape the judiciary while confronting turmoil in the West Wing surrounding the ongoing special counsel probe, has decided to leave the White House, President Trump announced Wednesday.

“White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!”

Mitch McConnell said that McGahn is the most effective White House Counsel in McConnell's tenture. Hmmm:
Don McGahn Was the Most Productive Person in Trump's White House [The Atlantic]
Trump shows little direct interest in conservative jurisprudence, except as it affects him directly or is useful as a political tool. As a result, McGahn had broad leeway to handle the judgeships as he wanted, as Jason Zengerle recently reported in The New York Times Magazine:

As White House counsel, McGahn has exercised an unprecedented degree of control over judicial appointments. In previous White Houses, both Republican and Democrat, judicial nominations were typically crowdsourced among officials from different parts of the administration … Under Trump, the job belongs exclusively to the White House Counsel’s Office, with McGahn and his deputy, Robert Luther, and about 10 associate counsels identifying and then scrutinizing candidates. This process is unique in White House history.

McGahn worked hand in glove with the conservative Federalist Society, producing one of the Trump administration’s most successful initiatives, despite a few hiccups.

Rumor has it that there will be a mass exodus as others in the WH Counsel's office will be leaving now that McGahn is leaving.

Re: Trump Staff Picks and Revolving Door of Depatures

I suspect that after the White House found out that he had been snuggling up to Mueller and.or he realized that he was also in legal jeopardy if he hung around for the end game inside the White House. there was no question but that he would have to leave.

Thirty hours of testimony with the Mueller team is a lot of time, isn't it. That Mueller had that many questions for someone inside the Trump orbit in itself is an interesting fact. Apparently someone has told Trump who John Dean was; McGahn already knew the Dean story and is probably out to avoid going to prison like Dean.

The sad thing is that McGahn loved to leak- especially when the story made him look good. Of course, at this rate there's going to be so few people working in the White House, there won't be anyone to leak about.

When there is no way for a LAWYER to spin ethics. He's out of billable hours.
In all honesty, this whole shitstorm is pretty ugly when actual ethics bails.
Not to derail the newsflash of the day, but anyone hear anything about the Mexican children.

Because it bears repeating....

This. Is. Not. Normal.

Re: Trump Staff Picks and Revolving Door of Depatures

Nothing about this administration is normal. And what is most abhorrent are the voices of Trump's former critics in the leadership of the party who have become his biggest enablers, coddling this most unethical administration in recent memory, maybe most corrupt ever. Certainly one where commitment to serving the public is so rampantly lacking. Look at all the federal agencies whose leaders are hostile to the very mission of these agencies, or at best indifferent party hacks. The best people, Trump? Fuck you.

^ I'm the daughter of the country's leading crime family. The Don says not to worry, we'll soon have our own court.

Re: Trump Staff Picks and Revolving Door of Depatures

Wonder if Bob Woodward's new book will have an effect on the org chart in the West Wing (Crazy Town)? The Clown in Charge continues to surround himself with people who think like he does. Or, people who don't think and won't stand up to a manchild who is out of control and running off the rails. No one is safe.

Re: Trump Staff Picks and Revolving Door of Depatures

^ I read an article this morning containing excerpts from the book. I can't remember who said it, nor about whom it was said, and I can't find the article now, but the person heard Trump say that the other person was "mentally retarded".

I will be so happy when he becomes a non-entity again.

A lot of White House staff, like his Chief of Staff are just seat fillers at this point. They are stuck in place until after the mid-terms because the GOP doesn't want more White House chaos distracting voters. After November, expect to see a mass exodus of the last of the people who want to hang onto a shred of professional credibility when they go job hunting.

It was Trump talking about Jeff Sessions, his racist Keebler elf Attorney General.

Re: Trump Staff Picks

I shudder to think of the damage that a President Trump will do in just the first few weeks of his administration... I'm always trying to be at least cautiously optimistic things will work out as they should over time. However this one gives me great pause.... I just don't know if we can get through this without significant damage being done to our already deeply polarized fabric. I'm pretty glum right now.
