Au revoir Hope Hicks.......

We hardly knew ye.

And just when she was getting so close to having those student loans paid off... now she's gonna have all those legal bills.

Trump tech adviser Reed Cordish is leaving the White House [WaPo]

A senior Trump administration adviser on government-to-government and technology initiatives is stepping down, the latest of more than a dozen top officials to depart the White House in little more than a year.

Reed S. Cordish is leaving his post as assistant to the president in the Office of American Innovation, where he is being replaced by Brooke L. Rollins, the White House said this week.

Two days into his presidency, Trump’s senior staff was sworn in. Half are now gone. [WaPo]

On Jan. 22, 2017, Vice President Pence, two days into that job, was given the honors of swearing in the White House senior staff. Some two dozen incoming staffers raised their right hands and, in front of a beaming President Trump and proud audience, pledged to serve faithfully.

With the announcement on Wednesday of the imminent departure of Hope Hicks — then the administration’s director of strategic communications — 13 of the 23 people we identified as having taken that oath are no longer or will soon no longer be working at the White House.

Meanwhile, Jared's very bad week just got worse.

Besides having his PR person pushed out and security clearance downgraded, we now learn that at least four nations were looking for ways to exploit his lack of experience and business relationships.

And now it turns out that his family biz got two pretty hefty loans after a White House meeting.

Buh Bye Gary Cohn. Took you long enough.

I guess when you really haven't accomplished anything in the last year except enriching yourself and your cronies....might as well get out while the getting out is still possible.

Yes, working with a bunch of racists and white supremacists was tolerable as long as he got his tax cuts.

But tariffs... how dare you!

Re: Trump Staff Picks

I was really surprised that Cohn stayed after the President waffled on antisemtic chants by NeoNazis in Charlottesville. This is a good opportunity for Mr. Cohn to bail on Trump, rather than be associated with the destruction of our economy. Now that POTUS has, to no one's surprise, gone off the rails (again) saying he would initiate import tariffs. Further, he thinks trade wars with our neighbors and allies are good for the economy. Trumpian laissez faire capitalism? Despite the advice of really really smart people he appears to be moving forward. [One big problem with POTUS' impulsiveness is that once he speaks "ex cathedra" it is hard to back off without looking weak in addition to stupid.] The loss of Cohn's experience as a Wall Street insider is a big loss to the Administration. Unfortunately, Kellyanne Conway (what does she do?) and Ben Carson and the Kushner family won't go anywhere of their own volition. It would take a much needed act of Congress to pry them loose.
