Re: Trump Staff Picks and Revolving Door of Departures
Time to play catchup...
Mnuchin losing 2 senior Treasury aides [Politico]
Miller (pictured above) was a political operative who had previously worked for a Koch Industries supported advocacy group before working on the Rubio campaign. Miller's tenure at Treasury was considered to be controversial, with the consensus being that he was in over his head and lacked the skills to be a chief of staff.
In Miller's case, joining the private sector means he's going to work for Blackstone Group, a hedge fund operated by Peter Peterson, a Republican mega-donor. Many Trump Administration officials are rumored to be leaving now that they've done their two years in the Administration for fear that there won't be private sector jobs available if they wait until 2021 to leave.
Miller's (pictured above) replacement is Monica Crowley, a Fox News commentator. Ms Crowley was previously considered for an Administration position but had to withdraw after it was discovered that she had plagiarized sections of one of her books (discussed in post #258 in this thread).

Kevin Hassett, chairman of the White House's Council of Economic Advisers, is leaving his post...
In April, Hassett refused to endorse Trump's pleas for the Federal Reserve to slash interest rates to juice growth.
