Trump this.

I'm sure that the $ 5,000 penalty the judge assessed on the Donald is set by the law and the type of offense. IMO, it's not enough to make him feel the pain. I'm not sure that even a $ 5,000,000 fine would be felt by his assets ](*,)

Strange bedfellows...

Trump is suing Christopher Steele (of Trump Dossier fame) and Steele's consulting company in a UK court.

This week, Steele testified that he and Ivanka were friendly and had talked about doing business together around the time that Steele was putting together the Trump dossier for Hillary's campaign.

Apparently, Cheeto Jesus wasn't happy when he found out that the guy who said Trump liked to have Russian prostitutes pee on him was friends with Ivanka.

Former President Donald Trump's relationship with his daughter Ivanka broke down "severely" when the somewhat awkward news emerged that she had an undisclosed friendship with Christopher Steele, the former MI6 agent said on Tuesday.

Steele made the remarks in a witness statement as part of legal proceedings in London, where Trump is suing Steele's intelligence company over the now notorious dossier on Trump that Steele wrote in 2016, The Associated Press reported.

Trump, for his part, rejected Steele's testimony, including the comments about his daughter.

The former commander in chief has accused Orbis Business Intelligence, Steele's company, of violating UK data-protection laws with the dossier, which included many salacious allegations of compromising encounters between Trump and Russian figures.

Pillow talk?

Is that why his dossier is possibly so full of salacious details?

If reports are correct, apparantly the Donald (at 6 foot, 1 inch in height) is in a feud with his youngest, Barron (at 6 foot, 7 inches in height) because Barron is taller than pops :rotflmao:

His son now looks like an Eastern European mafioso's son.

I'm already starting to think about the casting for the the mini-series.

^ I believe him. I also believe that he never took an oath to support the US Constitution as much as I believe he's 6 foot 3 and 215 pounds.

The Man Is A Truth Machine!!

In typical fashion, Trump is now saying that Sidney Powell never worked for him.

So today, he will never have met Jenna Ellis.

Meanwhile.....talk about a Hail Mary pass attempt.

...Trump is seeking to toss the federal election obstruction case against him, arguing in court filings Monday that his actions are protected by the First Amendment and that he can't be tried again after being acquitted by the Senate in his impeachment trial.

mmmmmmmmm.

I'm not thinking that the Senate over-rules the Criminal Justice system?

Or that there is some kind of double jeopardy law that applies?

^ I would think that there is no 'jeopardy' in the impeachment trial. Without it, there can be no 'double jeopardy' in a federal criminal trial.

They're going to keep filing these motions to try to drag the trial until after Trump is named the Republican nominee.

We call the impeachment trial a trial, but it's not part of the civil or criminal justive system. They are not the same thing, they have no relationship to each other. The only thing an impeachment trial decides is the privilege of holding public office, it's not a conviction of anything or an acquittal of anything.

I would hope that TrumpCo. lawyers actually get sanctioned for this frivolous waste of court time....but they probably won't.

At least it should establish a precedent that won't be taken up by the SC.

Engoron did something today that I've never heard of- he put one of Trump's attorneys "on a timer". He chastised him for running on and asked him how much longer his cross-examination was going to go on. The attorney said, "15 minutes" and the judge literally put him on a 15 minute timer.

There's no reasonable explanation for how Trump has gotten away with his nonsense in the legal system for decades. Frivolous suits. Abusing the Court system for nuisance lawsuits. The criminal behavior that has never been charged. Suddenly, the criminal justice system and the Courts have woken up?

And there's a reason that 3 of the 4 people who have pleaded guilty in the Fulton County case have a law license. Those attorneys thought they were going to benefit from Trump's historical noblesse oblige. Now, they see the hand-writing on the wall. Trump's free pass has expired and they're going to save their own ass (and their law licenses).

They likely won't save their law licenses.

The rats are leaving the chip. It's fucking annoying that Crackpot Cracken. Cheese Bro, Weeping Ellis, and Markie are not going to prison.
