It's a mutually parasitic relationship.Do you think so? Having the RNC as a front puts a lot more new people in Trump's pocket.
The Republican Party has allowed Trump to become a resource-sucking infection in their party in exchange for the populist energy and votes that they perceive he'll bring to the party. These voters aren't big donors, though.
What they've created looks a lot like the Dixiecrat era of the Democratic Party back in the early 20th century: lots of poor, uneducated white voters in a coalition with conservative ideologues and big money interests. It will eventually all blow up because of competing interests.
This is the RNC view of things. Trump, of course, is nothing without the party name and establishment but ultimately, he's in it for his own interests.
