A reporter spotted Trump in the courtroom putting edits on a set of sentences that were very similar to the "statements" that his cult members were making outside the Court this week.
I do have a lot of surrogates, and they are speaking very beautifully. And they come all– from all over Washington and they’re highly respected, and they think this is the greatest scam they’ve ever seen.
And some are Democrats. They’re very embarrassed by what’s going on.
I just want to start by saying that, on the electric vehicles that Biden is pushing down everybody’s throat, even though people don’t want them.
He wants to put a big tariff on China, which is a suggestion that I said, where have you been for three and a half years? You should have done it a long time ago. But they’ve also got to do it with other vehicles, and they have to do it on a lot of other products, because China’s eating our lunch right now…
What the actual fuck?A reporter spotted Trump in the courtroom putting edits on a set of sentences that were very similar to the "statements" that his cult members were making outside the Court this week.
Another reporter confronted Trump, asking him about the statements and whether they were instructed by Trump on what to say (which could be considered a violation of the gag order).
This was Trump's response:
Apparently, he ran out of time before he was able to bring up windmills and low-flow toilets.
I think this is why the Biden campaign is suddenly so gung-ho on getting Trump on a debate stage. He's really becoming less and less coherent. What the actual fuck?
.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz evoked language adopted by the far-right Proud Boys extremist group as he appeared at court Thursday to support Donald Trump at his hush money trial, reflecting the undercurrent of activist elements present among the presumptive GOP nominee's supporters as he seeks a return to the White House.,,
There was a time when anyone running for president would have their temperament evaluated as in does he/she have the temperament to be president, do you want them to be in charge in a crisis. Evidently temperament doesn’t matter anymore, how anyone could sleep peacefully with that wack job in charge mystifies me. Trump isn’t even in control of his own emotions how could he be in control of anything else?I think this is why the Biden campaign is suddenly so gung-ho on getting Trump on a debate stage. He's really becoming less and less coherent.

Certainly saw this with Haberman and Cuomo....the media have so much to answer for from 2015/16 when they gave him all the oxygen in the room.
I thought of that only briefly. More likely is Biden doing damage control against the GOP lie that he is senile.I think this is why the Biden campaign is suddenly so gung-ho on getting Trump on a debate stage. He's really becoming less and less coherent.
Absolutely.^ that’s why abortion rights will be a key issue for many states.
There certainly was such a time and I’ll provide a couple of examples first and foremost was the 1972 presidential election when one of the dirty tricks of the Nixon campaign was to hurt Ed Muskie the democrat leading the field at the time. While defending his wife against false charges put out by the Nixon campaign Ed got emotional and cried that pretty much ended his campaign as he was deemed too emotional to be president…..didn’t have the right temperament.I'm not so sure there was ever anything other than electability as a requirement, but OK, say that in some past competence and temperament were re-requisites - no one is voting for Toad because they think about temperament; they vote for him because they think he will stomp on the mud people.
No temperament is required for that. The GOP has been headed in that direction for decades.

Bad behavior also was enough to end a campaign as Nelson Rockefeller, Gary Hart and our current president can attest to.
But I take your point times have changed. It’s ironic because this culture is far more judgmental today than in past times. Today it’s not who you are but who you hate.
I gave you 4 examples 3 of which occurred in the era of open primaries and after the era of party bosses. It would be more accurate to say that party boss vetting of candidates elected by delegation, introduced some qualifications on the candidates, but in the era of open primaries and popularity contests, that's been out the window for some time.
These days, the qualifications are - to get the most votes. period.
