Trump this.

Trump campaign ad? 10 months before the primaries and 17 months before the election?

I'm tuning out already. Election season should not last so long.

^ You'd love Canada's election system. The minimum campaign period is 37 days. The maximum period is 51 days. (The period is set by the current government, and the maximum can be extended 20 days. Stephen Harper extended the election period to 70 days and lost the election to Justin Trudeau in the last 2 weeks of the campaign period.)

We also have very strict campaign spending limits to give all parties, matter how small, a fighting chance to get a seat in Parliament. And there are no corporate or lobby donations allowed. Private citizens are strictly limited in their maximum donations.

On the TV the bobble heads are saying Toad's been indicted.

Can't find it online yet.

It's starting to pop up now.

A federal grand jury has indicted Donald Trump in connection with his mishandling of more than 100 classified documents that were discovered last year at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, making the twice-impeached former commander-in-chief the first former president to face federal criminal charges...

Under seal, so no specifics.

DOJ isn't commenting. Expect superceding indictments to trickle in. :)

I see he wasted no time fund-raising on the back of the indictments. No surprise.

All of us need to be watching the bank accounts of elderly relatives. Between televangelists and disgraced Republicans, there's a lot of money being drafted out of older peoples' bank accounts. 🤬

As usual, Donald Trump's worst enemy is his big fat mouth.

He will be in need of supplies of DEPENDS.
That ship might have already sailed.

Meanwhile, the National Enquirer has turned on Trump:

And the charges likely will be filed in DC. Jack Smith is going to look for a court that Trump cannot influence.

There's a wrinkle to all of this. Trump may not be the only one who gets charged.

DOJ likes to go after lower level participants, flip them and get them to provide evidence to the next level of indictees.

Trump didn't move those boxes himself. The question is whether those who knew he had the documents and who helped hide them had knowledge of what they were doing. Trump has been paying the legal fees for his employees and lackeys who were part of the document-hiding at Mar-A-Lago and they're being represented by Trump-friendly attorneys. If these witnesses aren't co-operating and are lying to investigators, they're going to be the first to be charged.

And here we are:

An aide to former President Donald Trump has been indicted in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the mishandling of classified documents from the Trump White House, two sources familiar with the indictment tell CNN.

Walt Nauta’s indictment is the second in the special counsel’s investigation after Trump was indicted on seven counts on Thursday.

Nail the fucker.

Trump will likely be trying to buy his silence...but we all know he isn't going to keep paying out.

I will say though, that the case must be iron-clad since they filed the charges where they did. You in trouble gurl.

And look who is buttering Nauta up (also known as "witness tampering"):
“I have just learned that the ‘Thugs’ from the Department of Injustice will be Indicting a wonderful man, Walt Nauta, a member of the U.S. Navy, who served proudly with me in the White House, retired as Senior Chief, and then transitioned into private life as a personal aide,” Trump, 76, wrote on Truth Social. “He has done a fantastic job! They are trying to destroy his life, like the lives of so many others, hoping that he will say bad things about ‘Trump.’ He is strong, brave, and a Great Patriot. The FBI and DOJ are CORRUPT!”

Expect the tone to change to "...and he nice a nice family. It would be a shame is something happened to them".
