The heart of this case will be proving that the docs were not de-classified and defining the damage that may have been done without being able to likely tell the public what was in them. It doesn't matter if they are/were classified or not. Stealing government documents is a crime, period. Lock Him UP!!

That won't work outside the offices of his shady lawyers. As stated above, classified or not, taking them is illegal - and that's before you get to any of the other crimes. What he thinks is going to happen is the S.C. will pretend it isn't illegal and ignore the law.

They are not prepared to take the hit for the toad.

His pet trog on the lower court is about the get the shaft - hopefully referred for disciplinary review for her BLATANT illegalities on his behalf, and then the toad's ambulance chasers will appeal, at which point the S.C. will pretend not to notice and his hopes will die there.

From my lofty perch sitting atop a beaver dam in the wilderness of the Canadian Shield...it is clear that the US Justice Department is determined to work at a (pre-global-warming) pace in lock-step with the primary national industry/obsession...the never ending electoral cycle.

There is no question that if the government has enough to convict, they would have moved on this.

But because it hasn't, time is on the side of Trump. He gets to set the narrrative again and again as he does, over and over.

It is like everyone is in o the slow moving coup.
