Trump this.

With Trump, it was just one of so many stupid things...no one questions his grasp of history or his cognitive state.

Depends on what you mean by "question" ...

Half (well, more than half, but not enough more) don't question his grasp of history or cognitive state because we figured out what the answers were long ago.

The ones who adore him identify with him so much that they don't care.

Then there are the craven Republicans who understand well enough how bad his grasp of history and cognitive state are but are too scared of the people who identify with him to say anything.

Lest we forget for even one moment.

"Talented and well-practiced in every vice, a stranger to compassion or empathy, a liar and a cheat so complete in perfidy that he has elevated his dishonesty to hold it up as an ersatz moral principle, violent, so long as he can order someone else to do the dirty work, grotesque in body, graceless in action, in possession of a wounded self-regard so colossal as to smother any spark of grace, treasonous, not only to country, but to every ally he has ever had, the poisoned fruit and rankest flower of racism and contempt for women, and utterly devoid of shame for his moral and spiritual bankruptcy.
That is your leader. That is to whom you give your money. That is who you follow and laud. That is whose banner you willingly carry. Why? Because he is a mirror, not a lighthouse. You see yourselves in him. He is what you would be, if you had inherited money and could shed the last vestiges of conscience and shame.
No, I do not “respect your choices,” nor do I admire your loyalty and dedication to this miserific, demoniac vision. You have demonstrated not only a lack of civic virtue, loyalty to the Republic and to the rule of law, but a willingness to engage in violence and sedition at his slightest expressed wish. And you will never, ever admit you were wrong.
Because you see your dark, twisted, resentful dreams in him. And to renounce him is to renounce yourselves."

It is unknown what former vice president Mike Pence told the office of special counsel Jack Smith in his testimony, but he ran a red light fleeing the courthouse.

It's funny he thinks Palin can keep her mouth shut.

It's funny he thinks he can keep his mouth shut.

It's despicable that he just admitted he's a crook. Again.

It is despicable that he admits he is a crook and still no immediate consequences or loss of popularity.

But it is kind of hilarious that he keeps admitting he is a crook and has done something wrong.

Toad is proof of white male privilege. The remarkable thing is that it looks like they are going to get him after all.

I don't think he'll make it to '24. The indictments will keep coming, and the rape trial is going to hurt. He's going to be convicted of obstruction because there is literally no other option - he couldn't keep his mouth shut. Oddly, his most serious crimes are probably the ones that will do the most damage.

I used to want his head for sedition now, but I think in the end the petty shit will make it easier and easier to convict him later.

Always remember, they put Al Capone away for tax evasion; not any of the myriad of other crimes he "may" have committed

...The former president will be in Scotland on May 6 to play a round of golf. That’s the same day Charles III will be coronated as the King of England. However, the former president isn’t invited to the official ceremony, according to The Telegraph...

Toad can't come to Charlie's party.

Who wants to bet that he tried to get himself invited?

I have no doubt at all that he just 'conveniently' is visiting at the same time as the coronation and that he tried to get himself invited to the event. Watch him try to use it to his own marketing advantage. It won't be hard to do. All he has to do is attend some party being thrown by some trash in honour of the event and he will make out like it was a royal party.

Reacting to a New York Times report that investigators working for special counsel Jack Smith are focusing on evidence of wire fraud related to Donald Trump's 2020 presidential election loss, former prosecutor Glenn Kirschner suggested a conspiracy indictment might be forthcoming that encompasses those charges...

..."Those are fairly easy charges to prove," he continued. "So I have a feeling, you can see a series of wire fraud charges in what I would predict would be the larger charge of conspiracy to defraud the United States."

I KNEW IT!

All of Toad's fundraising was fraud - it still is.

Of course the wire fraud is naked and out in the open.

But one of the reasons that Trump and some of the key players in this grift constantly and loudly claim the election was stolen is to build a case that there was no fraud if they actually believe the election was stolen.

I suspect that the trail of the money will almost always produce the receipts...that payments were issued to Trump in order to fight the loss...even though they likely really have just gone to make payments on his loans.

They're probably going to claim something like that, then they have to prove that none of the money that was donated went to any other purpose, and then we get to those pesky checkmarks.

The fraud is not contingent on belief in stolen elections, the fraud is in the knowing allocation of those funds somewhere else. Plus the way the funds were collected is a big issue that's already been adjudicated and not in favor of the Toad. He'll claim he didn't know about that, then try to scapegoat one of the other crooks who were no doubt also profiting off the scheme.

The RNC is also in a spat with the company that collects their funds because donations are down and they can't pay their bills, so they want a bigger cut.

There probably is no end to the list of people who will be thrown under the bus because it will be their fingerprints all over the actual fraud.

Unlike Trump, who learned from the Mob bosses and lawyers how to make sure that there is never an actual written record of his involvement in any crime.

As stupid and inept as TrumpCo. is, though, I'll bet every cheque stub and transfer shows the money going to 'Fight the stolen Election Fraud'.
