Trump this.

I knew that it was fake, but isn’t it funny that you can barely tell satire from the truth with this administration.
Or to put it another way, reality has been so warped by a combination of a malignant narcissist and an unregulated social media landscape, that we can't tell what is real, what is parody and what is a lie.

Welcome to 1984.

The irony... Dr Oz talking about Ozempic and how people can sleep again while droopy face Trump dozes in a chair behind him.

Remember Trump referring to "sleepy Joe Biden"? :##:

For the ages.

It is like a mid Baroque painting.

But the photo is a prime example of what the Left is doing wrong. It's promulgating propaganda that the thinking man immediately recognizes as a lie, just like the many posts the Right made showing Biden senile when he was not.

Trump turned to the commotion when the man fell, looked concerned, but then realized the press conference was over and that he had to stay out of the way while medical assistance was provided. He stood and waited for the staff to clear the room. He wasn't visually annoyed or confused or incoherent. He realized he could not do anything but wait for the help to do whatever.

Using misleading pics as lies is actually hurting the cause of ridding us of Trump, as it is easily proven by the Right that it is a falsehood.

There is plenty of crime and corruption and moral personal failing by Trump and MAGA to not need lies to help the cause.

And I'm not saying you claimed anything other than repeating the pic, and it is liek a painting of the absurd, but it was intentionally created to be so.

It's not that hard.

...Trump turned to the commotion when the man fell, looked concerned, but then realized the press conference was over and that he had to stay out of the way while medical assistance was provided...
I watched this event live. It was a little difficult to track because the press pool videographers were zooming in on the speaker's podium and Trump was off to the speaker's right side.

In this same thread, I posted a clip from a little earlier in the press conference where Trump was dozing off and then falls asleep. The video of Trump falling asleep was before the guy from Eli Lilly started speaking.

The event was a press conference which are normally tightly scripted. Trump was seated, slumped at the desk and read a press release that he had obviously never seen before. At first he was engaged but quickly, his attention started wandering. He was awake when RFK Jr spoke. He was awake when Dr Oz started speaking but started blinking his eyes and the right side of his face started drooping as he fell asleep.

Trump woke up when the speaker changed from Dr Oz to the rep Novo Nordisk and then a rep from Lilly but then doing the blinking eyes, drifting off, again. The commotion behind Trump woke him up.

At first, Trump stood and looked closer but he seemed confused. He then turned away and froze in place, facing away from the people who were attending to the man who fainted.

This happens all the time at these events. People passed out at Trump events all the time because he often rambled on for 45 mins to 2 hours. The rooms are usually warm. Often, people go to the events without eating and they don't realize that they're going to be standing for a long period of time.

When you're used to people fainting at events, you kind of know what to do... if you weren't asleep when it happened.

Several political commentators said that Trump lacked empathy. Honestly, that's what everyone would expect from Trump. What was off was how he froze and looked confused. Normally, what happens when someone faints is that the medical people jump into action but the senior person in the room either asks for medical assistance or they ask everyone to leave the room while the situation is being attended to. Trump did none of that.

Contrast that to when the same thing happened at a Spanberger event. It took her a while to realize that someone behind her was in trouble. When the situation catches her eye, she stops speaking, gets a bottle of water from under the podium and offers it to the people helping the woman. She looks like someone who is in charge of the room and she makes sure that the woman is okay before returning to her remarks.

I suspect that these kinds of pressers are going to start to get much shorter with fewer attendees. Everyone sees what's happening with our own eyes.

Trump is increasingly disengaged and out of it. Either from simple lack of sleep, hypoglycemia, meds or cardio- neuro-vascular issues.

And when he seems cogent, he still rambles...his Hippa violating recitation about people on Ozempic in his regime that day...wtf. I would swear he was on Ozempic in late 2024 and early 2025, but then I wondered if he had been removed from it because of possible side-effects.

It is increasingly like a 'Weekend at Bernies' presidency.

The stuff coming out about "sleepy Joe Biden" details someone who had good days and bad days. The staff avoided having him do press events and they definitely avoided scheduling events for later in the day when he would appear tired. Some staffers talked about meetings where Biden was sharp, knew the details and context of complex issues and was on top of his game. Other staffers and congressmembers said Biden didn't seem like he recognized them and misspoke about issues.

Someday we will know whether Biden had Parkinsons or whether he had a stroke after one of those bouts of COVID that he contracted during the White House.

In some ways, it hasn't been as apparent with Trump because he had never had a penchant for detail. He often seems bored and disengaged. It just seems to be getting worse. The rambling speech (which he calls "the weave") has always been there but the repetition has been getting worse and the stream of consciousness style that his cult enjoys just seems embarrassing when he is speaking at the UN or in front of the military. At times, it seems like he thinks he's at a roast or a Toastmaster's event. He has one speed- campaign speeches. He has not pivoted to sounding like a President.

He and Vance were both on a GLP-1 inhibitors. Both lost weight quickly during 2024. The pattern of weight loss, particularly in their face, was noticeable. It would also explain the rumors about Trump farting and smelling bad.

Giving those drugs to a man in his forties is relatively safe. Giving it to a man in his eighties may not be safe. Trump is definitely losing muscle mass. He's increasingly showing signs of kyphosis and probable demineralization of his spine.

There are some older people who show signs of aging but remain mentally sharp- Nancy Pelosi and Norman Lear are two that come to mind. Others, like Eleanor Holmes Norton and Dianne Feinstein had events that precipitated their rapid decline. Trump seems somewhere in the middle... but what were people thinking when they voted for an 80 year old scam artist over a 60 year old in her prime?

Finally.

A health care plan from Trump. This populist bullshit scheme will never pass the Senate.

The insurance companies aren't going to want to give up those sweet, sweet subsidies. And they own Congress.

Who does he think Americans will purchase healthcare from? Amazon? Google?

Of course...it then begged the question...

Of course, the current plan of subsidizing the bloated insurance industry in order for them to then deny treatment and coverage is a disaster.

So would be sending taxpayers back more money than some of them would be paying in taxes with the bizarre hope that many of them would be able to even obtain coverage like it was in the
pre-Obamacare era.

The US just can't seem to see what is staring it in the face.
