^I guess I was the last person to view it before the video got pulled. I could go in a hundred different directions with what was depicted in the news story. I knew intellectually that abuse and torture were sanctioned for people who were illegally denied due process, but seeing the actual treatment of these poor individuals left me stunned. And I must conclude that if the Trump administration can sink to these depths of cruelty and depravity, that no one in the United States, including citizens, are safe.

At the heart of this, there really is no daylight between the evils of any other fascist totalitarian regimes and the Trump administration, enabled by a weak and ineffectual Congress.

Protesters have been doing nighttime protests at hotels where ICE agents have been staying (an expense charged to US taxpayers). Their goal is to prevent ICE agents from sleeping.

In a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court blocks Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Chicago to assist immigration agents.
The majority held that he (likely) lacks authority to do so.

Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch dissented.

So he even was abandoned by Roberts on this one......

So, ICE just murdered a 37 year old American citizen in daylight in an American city. ICE lied about it- calling an American citizen in an SUV a "domestic terrorist" but a citizen recorded the incident and the video tells a different story.

ICE agents refuse to wear bodycams. If not for the citizen video, it would have been their word against a woman who isn't alive to tell her story.

It was an excessive force case. One ICE agent was trying grab a protester on the inside of her vehicle. There were at least three shots from a second agent. The woman was shot in the face and died immediately.

ICE then proceeded to fire tear gas at neighbors and a crowd that gathered to question ICE's actions and to protest. Today's shooting too place just a few blocks from where George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police.

He might want to actually read the government agency's lethal force policies. Assuming he can read, which seems to be uncertain.

You don't approach a vehicle from one side.

You don't put your hands on the inside of a vehicle.

You don't put yourself in front of or behind a vehicle. If you inadvertently find yourself in front or behind a moving vehicle, you get out of the way. Shooting someone in the face is unlikely to stop someone from running you over. If anything, it's likely to increase the chances that you will get hit.

Masked men were attempting to grab a woman who committed no offense. When she tried to get away from them. They shot her. This could happen to any of us- a poorly trained officer with a gun is a danger to everyone.

They can lie and try to tell us what we saw. It's like their Orwellian rebranding of the Jan 6th videos. But, we saw what we saw.


Another policy: if you are an officer and you shoot someone, you also have to render first aid. These guys didn't. They stood there while this woman died. There are also rumors that a doctor was on the scene and asked to be allowed to help. The reports say that the doctor was prevented from aiding the woman.

We saw what we saw.

New deportation officers at ICE used to receive about five months of federal-law-enforcement training. Academy training was shortened to 47 days, three oficcials told me, the number was picked because Trump is the 47th president. DHS officials said the training will run six days a week for eight weeks.

Why the Minneapolis Police didn't take them into custody is the real question. If you or I shot someone in the face, or a Minneapolis Police officer shot someone in the face, we would relieved of duty and taken into custody for questioning.

This guy's life is ruined. The internet will find him and the rest of those guys. They will be doxxed and their lives will be hell for a while. They will wish they were in jail.
 
When the police fail to apprehend a shooter, in this case a murderer, immediately for questioning...because they are a federal agent, then they have confessed to complicity.

...and the White issuing the statement so quickly was purposefully designed to contaminate any proceedings against the officer. Expect them to receive a pardon in order to give full license to Trump's private army to kill anyone they want.
