Trump's Mass Deportation Plans

Marches, rallies, and speaking out are all part of it, but not the sum total. They have to be loud, consistent, grow larger, and be peaceful. Protests and marches were part of attaining women's and black voting rights, women's rights and civil rights in general, gay rights, union rights, handicapped rights, ending the Vietnam War, and abortion rights (when they were there). Protests increase visibility and reenforce the message. They add pressure. They have to be organized and be part of the effort. Protests are one of the voices of the people. But yeah, they don't change things overnight and can't just be one-offs. The people being quiet and not loudly and vocally demanding change, is what will not change a thing. Other things could work as well, including large scale boycotts and especially strikes.

Mobilizing voters and better candidates are important too. But the next National election is 18 months away. Look at the chaos and government destruction Trump has caused in just 3 months. We could have swastikas flying over the White House and Capital (metaphorically, if not physically) by that time. There might not even be an election. So do register and mobilize all you can. But again, that's a year and a half away.

Being silent and waiting for an election that might not happen or be rigged, is not the answer right now.

It's up to the people now to demand this fascist slide stop now, because it could be the last chance.

We've watched this before.

Americans burn out.

The administration is counting on it.

Either that or to have an increase of mass protest with violence they can use as their pretext to declare martial law and suspension of the Constitution.

What I am saying is that except for some efforts I read about by David Hogg looking to primary the worst Dem reps next year, 90% of the current reps are doing NOTHING to help build a stronger party and messaging strategy. They are all still looking to somehow get those few swing GOP voters that they are afraid of scaring off, while doing NOTHING to convince the left wing voters that they are any different than the GQP seat fillers.

Bernie and AOC seem to be the only two who are out there building a grass roots movement that I don't see being backed up with any passion or commitment by their fellow Dems.

They just don't seem to grasp the concept.

But lest I sound all gloom and doom...I do beleive that to date...some of the grass-roots efforts have been somewhat effective.

What can we say. TrumpCo. will see these people dead first.

Bread and circuses.

A producer is in negotiations with ICE Barbie to put together a reality show in which immigrants compete for citizenship.

No, it's not an article from The Onion.

It is The Hunger Games.

The Department of Homeland Security is reviewing a reality TV pitch where immigrants would compete for American citizenship, according to a spokesperson who said in a statement to CNN that “the show in question is in the very beginning stages of that vetting process and has not received approval or denial by staff.”

A producer who has pitched the idea to DHS said he envisions the show as being a “positive love letter to America” while dismissing criticism that it would be “punching down” on contestants.

Rob Worsoff, himself a Canadian immigrant whose credits include “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” “Duck Dynasty” and “The Biggest Loser,” said he’s pitched the idea for his show as far back as the Obama Administration. He said he’s had three conversations with the current DHS about his pitch — “and they’ve gone far” — but said Secretary Kristi Noem has not been involved in any of the discussions.

No word on whether anyone has posed a reality show where pedophile pastors are fed to lions, but it might be a good time for Trump to get fitted for a toga.

So Garcia's sin was that he was just 5 million dollars short of not being shipped to el Salvador?

It will only get worse.

But at least today Kristi Noem and Trump should at least know what Habeas Corpus means.
