Trump's Mass Deportation Plans

At the moment .....the flight carrying the deportees had landed for now in the east African nation of Djibouti.

U.S. military personnel in Djibouti were standing by to assist with securing detainees if needed, one U.S. official said.

I suspect that the plane will turn around at this point.

I doubt if the pilot wants to be jailed for contempt. Or a number of the other functionaries who would be in line to go to prison for Trump over this.

But we'll see.

The stakes are so incredibly high. Can Trump basically destroy the authority of the judiciary in the US?

I am totally confused now as to where these people have now ended up?

Obviously, if they are rendered to South Sudan, the intent is that they will be tortured and murdered in prison there, unless there is an incentive per head to keep them alive.

This group is a bit tricky. The crimes committed sound heinous, and it is very likely their home countries don't want to repatriate them. So public sympathy won't be with them and they are
the perfect poster children to excite US americans to support the suspension of habeas corpus.

And I think this is almost orchestrated and intentional to get public opinion on TrumpCo's side.

So one of two things here.

He either doesn't know the Constitution.

He knows he's lying but this is the lie they are just repeating until averyone thinks it is the truth.

Third factor: he's from Tennessee. And he sits in a heavily gerrymandered district. Nashville and Franklin are blue-purple parts of TN. The Legislature cut Nashville and diluted it with the red voters in the suburbs of Nashville.

Andy and his cousin, Bill who is another politician from the area, are dumb as a box of rocks. Andy introduced a bill called the "Hot Showers Act" in which he complained that Joe Biden wanted to take away your hot showers (nevermind that the Energy Star standards that he was complaining about were written during the Clinton Administration). There was an article in the local press entitled, "An Andy Ogles case study: Stupidity as tactic, lifestyle or default". 'nuf said.

Members of Congress have some truly remarkable resources available to them. The Library of Congress, adjacent to Capitol Hill, has an estimated 164 million items in multiple languages and formats. The subjects cover an impressive array of human knowledge, arguably the single most thorough compilation of information ever gathered...

So, why is it then that so many of our legislators subsist on an information diet that dredges misleading gunk from the deepest, darkest online and social media hellholes? We need to ask ourselves if congressional stupidity is a tactic, lifestyle, or default state of being?

By the way...the WH really has no plan for who will actually plant, nurture and harvest food in the US.

Well... except the 13th Amendment.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Yes Vanessa, you did vote for this. So fuck off.

This is the problem with the relationship between MAGA and evangelicals...

When you've got a group of people who are used to hearing about people being raised from the dead, walking on water, living to 969 years old, being turned into salt... well, they'll believe anything that a con man says.

It's why they should be taking care of the poor, healing the sick and staying out of politics.

This is starting to pop up in a lot of places now.

WHITE SUPREMACIST ETHNIC CLEANSING...The Trump Administration wants to create an “OFFICE OF REMIGRATION”: Say what?!?
“Remigration” is a phrase that came out of the white supremacist ethnic cleansing movements across Europe; the first Remigration Conference was held a few weeks ago in Milan, Italy where speakers called for nonwhite people to be expelled from EU countries, even if they’d been born in those countries.
And now, according to reporting from Wired magazine, after both Stephen Miller and Trump have tweeted positively about remigration, the Trump administration is discussing replacing the State Department’s Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor Bureau with a new Bureau for Remigration to focus on “Western Values,” a code phrase for European-based ancestry (white people: the Proud Boys called themselves “western chauvinists”).
The proposal is in a document the State Department sent to Congress; they’re taking this very seriously.

And we're seeing who is really behind ICE.

And of course, besides the act from 1798 that TrumpCo. tried to use to ship out 'enemy' aliens, the regime also dipped back into the WWII era for a requirment for all migrants to register with fingerprints and address...only took some time before actually coming up with a form for people to actually do it.

Early reception by the courts has not been promising for TrumpCo.

In an order May 19 dismissing charges against five migrants in Louisiana, U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael B. North wrote that there was “no evidence that any of these defendants knew they were required to register … and even if they had, until very recently, there was no mechanism for [them] to do so.”

Only when it works to the advantage of the white folks. Interesting that the employers are
never the ones charged.

Woo Hoo!!!

The travel bans are back.

An old favourite from Trump V1.0, only this time with SC pre-approval. And wisely not called a 'Muslim Ban'.

Some, but not all, 12 countries also appeared on the list of banned countries in Trump’s first term. The new ban includes Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

There will be heightened restrictions on visitors from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

And I'll bet it is met with wide spread approval this time around. OF course, it paints a target on the backs of all the people originating from these countries who are already here.
