Trump's Mass Deportation Plans

The ICE surge in Minnesota cost $280M to detain 4k people.

Of those- only 30 were accused of violent crimes.

$9 million per capture of the "worst of the worst".

And ICE wants to spend $140 million to BUY a fleet of Boeing 737s. ICE claims they need to buy them for deportation flights. Suspiciously, one of the 737s is a luxury jet that has a bar and a bed... who could that be for?

  • The Department of Homeland Security confirmed it will buy six Boeing 737s for deportations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
  • DHS has a contract with Daedalus Aviation for the nearly $140 million purchase, The Washington Post reported.
  • “This new initiative will save $279 million in taxpayer dollars by allowing ICE to operate more effectively, including by using more efficient flight patterns,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said.
The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Wednesday that it has agreed to buy six Boeing

737 planes to be used for deportations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Washington Post first reported DHS’ contract for the nearly $140 million purchase of the 737s from Daedalus Aviation.

Avjet’s brochure says the jet has a “5 zone VVIP cabin configuration” designed to accommodate 17 passengers. Accompanying pictures show an extremely luxurious interior layout that includes two suites with full-size beds and a master bathroom with a shower stall, among many other amenities. Whether any changes have since been made to the aircraft’s internal configuration is unknown, but there are no indications that it has. It would be expensive and time-consuming to make major changes to the core internal layout. Doing so would also call into question the basic rationale for any buyer to select this particular low-time VIP aircraft rather than a 737 in a more basic configuration, to begin with.

The supplier is likely a Trump donor and of course the jets will be for HS brass. Just more corruption in plain sight.

Sloppiness? The judge should have sanctioned these lawyers.

"The Respondents did attach a document to their Response purporting to show minor convictions for marijuana possession in 2009," the footnote reads. "The petitioner was four years old at the time, and the Respondent indicated that the document was supplied by ICE and likely presumed to relate to the Petitioner because the individual had the same name, despite differences in birthdate, birthplace, parents' names and immigration status."

Turns out that not every red state is gung ho about concentration camps in their midst. Typical right wing NIMBYism. All gung ho for the deportations and whatever that entials...just not in their state.

And Ayotte can fuck all the way off with the protection of the northern border bullshit. At this point Canada is a destination for people fleeing the US. Never setting foot in the state again.

More from the "culture of life" Administration.

In 2025, a blind man from Myanmar who did not speak English was out for a walk in Buffalo, where he lives. He got lost on his walk and a neighbor called the police saying that a man was trespassing. Because he did not speak English and could not see well, he did not follow police officer's commands and was arrested. This arrest flagged him to ICE since he and is family are Rohingya refugees.

After questioning him, ICE dropped him off at a coffee shop near where his family lived on the 19th of February. He was found dead on the street Tuesday night after being missing for a week. The overnight temperatures in Buffalo were in the teens last week.

In what alternate universe does a government agency drop off a blind man who does not speak English without notifying his family? Why the fuck did ICE waste thousands of taxpayer dollars on questioning an elderly blind refugee?

Near-blind refugee found dead in Buffalo after release by US Border Patrol
  • Buffalo Mayor critical of federal immigration authorities
  • CBP says Shah Alam showed no distress when dropped at coffee shop
  • Shah Alam's family says misunderstanding led to his arrest
A nearly blind refugee from Myanmar missing since his release from a Buffalo jail into the custody of U.S. Border Patrol has been found dead on a downtown street, city authorities said on Wednesday.

Police officers in the upstate New York city located the body of Nurul Amin Shah Alam, 56, on Tuesday evening, a Buffalo Police Department spokesperson said.

Shah Alam had been missing since February 19, when U.S. Border Patrol agents dropped him off at a coffee shop miles from his home following his release from a county jail, where he had spent much of the last year awaiting trial on criminal charges that resulted in a misdemeanor plea deal.

Another case of negligence and wilful manslaughter.

The agents probably had a good laugh about it.

This week's latest NIMBY convert: Sen Marsha "wild hair" Blackburn [R-TN]. Having thousands of immigrants in a concentration camp in the Nashville suburbs was just too much even for MAGA-loving Blackburn.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn: ICE ends plans for Wilson County immigrant detention ‘mega center’
Tennessee becomes the latest Republican-led state to successfully push back against plans for immigrant holding facilities

Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn posted on X Tuesday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement “will not move forward” with plans to build an immigrant detention mega center holding up to 16,000 detainees in Wilson County.

An ICE spokesperson confirmed the plans have been scrapped. “We have no plans to move forward with a detention centers (sic) in Lebanon, Tennessee,” an email from the spokesperson said.

Blackburn’s post marks the fourth public reversal in a little more than a week of on-again, off-again plans to locate a detention center in Lebanon, a suburban Wilson County community of about 51,000 located 30 miles east of Nashville.

Now honestly, I don't care if the US wants to import white people from SA because Musk told TrumpCo. to do it....but refugees? Seriously?

I think that's a perfect status for the next Administration.

Trump has been revoked Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans and Haitians and they've been rounded up at their immigration court hearings. That sets a precedent for any group that a future President decides needs to be returned to their home country.

And while they are at it, there's a few others who need to be sent back to South Africa... like Elon.

^ However, the courts have ruled on the Haitians...so the Afrikaners may be safe in the future after all.

Meanwhile, the shutdown over at DHS is starting to show the effects of what happens when people don't getting a paycheck.

The TSA is advising airport travelers to arrive 5 hours before their flights because of the potential for long lines at the TSA checkpoints.

Funding for the department lapsed in mid-February amid a standoff between Republicans and Democrats over federal immigration reform. With TSA workers set to miss their first paycheck this week, an increased number of them are taking unscheduled time off leading to long lines and delays.

The TSA lines at Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport stretched for more than three hours again Monday morning, the agency reported. Similar wait times were seen there on Sunday. The airport continues to advise passengers to arrive four to five hours before their flights.

Ixnay on the assmay eportationsday.

Republican Congressional members had a confab at... wait for it... Trump's Doral Golf Club in Miami. At the meeting, they were told to 1) pass The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and 2) don't talk about mass deportations again (until after the mid-term election).

Scoop: White House tells House Republicans to stop talking about mass deportations

White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair privately urged House Republicans on Tuesday to stop emphasizing "mass deportations" and instead focus their messaging on removing violent criminals, according to sources in the closed-door briefing.

Why it matters: Mass deportations were central to the GOP's 2024 campaign message.

  • Nearly half — 49% — of Americans say Trump's mass deportation campaign is too aggressive, including 1 in 5 voters who backed the president in 2024, a Politico poll from January found.

So. uh. the US is now not a destination for H1-B applicants?

Gee. Unsurprised.

ICE killed another one. Their kill rate for 2026 is about 1 per week.

The latest victim is a 41 year old Afghan immigrant who was an asylum-seeker who had only been in ICE custody for one day. He had collaborated with the US military during the warn in Afghanistan. He leaves 6 orphaned children.

Afghan asylum-seeker dies in ICE custody, US advocacy group says

  • Mohommad Nazeer Paktyawal, 41, died on Saturday in Texas
  • At least 12 people have died in ICE custody this year
  • ICE plays a central role in Trump mass deportation policy

An Afghan immigrant who previously worked with the ‌U.S. military in Afghanistan and later sought asylum in the United States died this weekend in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody less than 24 hours after being detained in Texas, a U.S. veteran-led advocacy group said on Sunday.

Mohommad Nazeer Paktyawal, who was living in a Dallas suburb with his wife and six children while his asylum case remained pending, was arrested by federal agents outside his apartment on Friday morning while taking his children to school, the group AfghanEvac's president Shawn VanDiver said in a statement. Paktyawal died of unknown causes on Saturday, VanDiver said.

The stable genius strikes again.

Over the weekend, a caller to a right-wing radio show threw out the idea that the President should send ICE to the airports to solve the problem with the long lines.

Jesse Watters repeated that idea on his show on Fox News.

Sunday morning, the Trump White House announced that they were sending ICE agents to the airports. Meanwhile, the TSA agents are calling in sick at a rate somewhere between 15% to 25%, furthering the staffing shortages.

Videos posted by travelers standing around in airports because a) there is no plan other than the random musings of someone calling into a radio show, b) ICE has no training on airport procedures and c) the TSA managers were never given a heads-up, so they have no idea what to do with a bunch of overweight guys in tactical gear.

After 9/11, when the US government nationalized the airport screening process, there was a battle with the Republicans over the massive hiring required by the TSA to takeover passenger screening. When they passed the legislation, the TSA agents were allowed to unionize, however they were not deputized to be law enforcement officers. One of the reasons that the TSA management is flummoxed is that Congress did not authorize the TSA to be law enforcement agents, so having ICE agents trying to work in non-deputized positions is a policy nightmare.

Union reps for the TSA agents are saying that if Congress leaves this Friday for their 2 week Easter break without passing legislation to pay TSA agents, there will be a mass resignation that will disable air travel for the near future.

If this weren't funny enough, the ICE agents can't wear their masks and balaclavas in the airport, so the public are taking videos showing the ICE agents faces and posting them online so that they can be run through facial recognition.

I certainly have been making sure to re-share the face pics of ICE agents standing around with nothing to do.

Again. So much of this is just performative theatrics.

But it gets these Gravy Seals off the streets of cities in blue states for awhile.

I think the best part is that one of the demands by Dems was to require ICE to remove their masks and now here they are...unable to wear their masks in the airports.

I suspect TrumpCo. will announce in about a week's time that ICE have apprehended 20,000 Somali's trying to enter the US and pull the agents.

There were dueling interviews yesterday. Real World Sean from DoT was giving interviews about what a great help the ICE agents would be at the airport. Meanwhile, Tom Homan the "border czar" was saying that ICE wouldn't be helping out in airport security lines because they had no training on procedures or how to operate scanners, etc.

They are just bored mall guards from everything we see.

And they don't like being recorded without masks but unlike the streets where they can be tough guys...they literally ran away from people filming them at one airport.
