i really, really hated that first movie. a friend and i watched it and i just thought it was garbage. and the lead actress actually pissed me off with her abhorrent performance. i won't be checking out the second installment.

As a man, you know nothing about teenaged girls.

Bella is a typical teenage female. Her world is dramatic, and she wants the guy that's just all wrong for her.

Hate it all you want but hate it for better reasons. Bella's need for Edward is real and true to some women and I can attest to being in that position. Often. Never running from the one that's gonna rip my heart out and stomp it to bits, only rejecting the ones that aren't going to hurt me.

The love story is pretty dead on in the world of a young woman.

A young woman who got pregnant after prom.

Bella Swan (subtle, by the way) lusts for a boy who has no interest for her because his breath is beautiful. For no reason whatsoever, he reciprocates this infatuation by watching her in her sleep. He actually admits this weird habit, and he receives this bit of news as if this is normal. Their love is so intense she decides to stay in the town instead of moving in with her mother (I don't give a shit,. Unless your mother is Mo'Nique from Precious you do NOT forsake your mother for some boy.), only for them to break up in the second book. They're not in love, they're narcissists.

Women I know even at a young age are pragmatic. They're driven. They as Sarah Pierce in Little Children "hunger for the alternative and search for true happiness." They're not gullible enough to settle for some superficial fuckershit they found in their small town high school. Don't give me this "you don't know what it's like to be a woman" crap.

LOL reminds me of a scene in Annie Hall.

Unless of course you went to a traditional Catholic girl school or something like that.

Don't you dare talk shit about Catholic girls. Catholic girls punch each other in the face. Tough girls.

"Since they know it all and we know it all, sitting through this experience is like driving a tractor in low gear though a sullen sea of Brylcreem." - Roger Ebert

I love this man and how his lack of speech pushes him to be more vile against shit movies.

And seriously guys, from someone who has an English major, whenever I read an article saying how Meyer is inspired by Shakespeare and Bronte, it makes me wanna throw a knife at people.

And to add to my previous post, Catholic girls will pummel Edward Cullen to shit. You don't try to hustle Italian girls, they try to hustle you.

I've seen the trailers and it looks like a lot of running and jumping and turning into werewolves faster than Clark Kent can become Superman.

(That and the fact that I'm not a fan of RPattz. I didn't even care for him as Diggory.)

really the only reason that i dont like it is because it didnt live up to the hype. a girl at work and her friends obsessed over it so much that by the time it actually came out, i no longer was interested in it.

i thought the 1st movie could have been better. i wasnt particularly fond of any of the cast really, and it bugged me to no end that edward sparkles... that i think is a bunch of rediculousness.

i am going to see the second one, only because my boyfriend wants to see it for his birthday and i want to take him.

as for the books, i havent read any of them, and i probably wont for a while.

When "Twilight" came out everyone kept saying it was a "Teen-Chick-Flick". Why pay $16 bucks for that shit... So I waited for Pay-Per-view...

Sad to say I fell asleep after the first 30-minutes I guess...When i woke up it was off...

Now the trailers for Part II look good and even though I prefer to watch a "Saga" from the begining I will probably check Part II out next week..

Just saw new moon and liked it a lot.

Jacob is a total hunk and loved watching

him walk around half naked

"New Moon" has broken Harry Pottter's Mid-Night Showing record by pulling in $22-million...

Hey, we as gay men should understand the how's and why's the females would love this, or maybe I am in the true minority for understanding the whole Bella/Edward thingy! lol

I think the movie is spot-on when it comes to appealing to the sexes and all, for I know that I am actually liking to watch the guys!!!(*8*)
