The irony is that it has been shown beyond dispute that higher wages and universal health care would make the wealthy even wealthier. So it isn't just the poor who are voting against their own interests, the wealthy are working against their own as well.

This is one of the reasons they are building prison camps...not just for immigration, but to make the marginalized vanish.

I don't see how the Feds can actually do this though. Isn't this a states' rights issue?

Yes, it is, and this is a hefty sign that the GOP is no longer republican. They haven't been since before Bush II, but it's becoming more obvious by the week.

Absolutely. Scrap the CAP.

It would not even be a tax rate increase. Just keep everyone paying the same FICA contribution from every paycheck instead of stopping contributions when gross income reaches $176,100.

This made me think of a new, very accurate name for the GOP: RepubliCains, because it was Cain who didn't care to be his brother's keeper.

I would say that the RepubliCains in Congress fall into the category of whom Jesus said that it will be better for Sodom and Gomorrah than for them, come judgment!

And the not so marginalized as well. They will eventually come for anyone who opposes them. Remember, German concentration camps started out as "detention centers". Then they built the other camps.
