It’s worth mentioning that very few employers want to hire people who don’t want to work, no matter how much you pay them they will disappoint and whatever task they are given they will do it as if they don’t care because they don’t.

Between tariffs and labour shortages and higher costs...

Wholesale prices for domestic fresh and dry vegetables skyrocketed by 38.9% in July 2025 compared to the previous year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This increase is the largest since March 2022.

This is the true legacy of Ronald Reagan. You might call this story The Empire Strikes Back as Reagan ended the era of FDR and during that era government had it eyes on the business community and government regulation of that community was seen as a positive thing but that ended under Reagan and we were sent back down a path of business supremacy which existed from 1880-1929 or so.

The few benefited the many lost out and having two incomes when one used to be enough became the American way.

While the MAGAts are howling about the Cracker Barrel Logo...they fail to realize the company was on its last legs before it decided to update in order to appeal to a younger demo since its core demo is either dead, in a nursing home...or just not eating out much any more.

Cracker Barrel didn’t ‘go woke.’ It just went broke.

The company's value was plummeting long before it nixed the Old Timer from its logo.

I have been thinking about this for the past few days. The stock market hit all-time highs on Friday. Yet, inflation from the tariffs are starting to hit, and economic news is screaming red-alert and getting worse.
It kind of feels like we're in the same days as September and early October 1929 just before the crash. Does anyone else feel like this?

Of course.

The market at this point is once again separated from the consumer.

Wall Street is not Main Street. Company valuations are disconnected from fundamentals.

This is one of the greatest cons of all time.

Only when American middle class families see their 401K portfolios crash will reality suddenly hit them.

And we should all know better by now. Because every fucking time that the GQP own the White House, this happens.

Only this time, the Republicons own the whole thing.
