I didn't find it as much "predictable" as I did "foreshadowed." I heard some people last week speculating on whether she was "Alexis" or not, and paying attention this week, it was obvious the writers were dropping hints on purpose because Wilhelmina said something about the ski trip -- so obviously they wanted you to be able to draw the line from A to B. But I have to say, if I didn't hear that speculation last week and have it in the back of my mind, I would've been surprised.
I also wonder how this is going to go down -- and of course it's a repeat next week, so we have to wait for February most likely... since ABC gave us two fresh episodes already this month, which is rare.

OH MY GOD! I can't remember the last time I had such a jaw-dropping shock from television!
All this time, I thought the mysterious shrouded woman was Fay Summers! And though I started wondering when Daniel finally said how Alex had died (the unrecovered body is SUCH a soap-opera stand-by), I thought a whole sex-change was a bit of a stretch, even for a comedy that's based on a Latin soap. But there it was! And with Rebecca Romijn (whom I think is hot)! WELL!

I am usually quick to see how movies and shows are going to end, I guess I was sidetracked with how funny the show was and the other storylines to notice what was happening with miss slater and 'alexis'.

We don't know why yet. That's the whole point of the soap opera... get answers to tonight's questions in the next episode, and answers to that episode's questions in the next one...
The next new episode won't be out until February for sweeps month.

I think Michael Urie (Mark) is robbed of Golden Globe or SAG nomination. He was fantastic. Look at the way he responded for each scene/plot/action. I was stunned by his flexibility. And he and Amanda (no matter how I disliked her) were great couple.

Mark said to Amanda something about crossing over and worshipped the queen (referring to Vanessa William's character)

Both are campy. But then again, DH reminds me of Sex & The City - which reminded me of Golden Gilrs - which reminded me of The Facts of Life.

I like "Ugly Betty" a lot and haven't seen the most recent episode (1 Feb) - was it a repeat - again?
At any rate I think this whole Alex/Alexis thing is stupid. I hope the show doesn't go off the rails with this - and if they are going to have an Alex who becomes Alexis why don't they have a guy playing it - it's so cheap to have a woman play it. Let Jaye Davidson ("Crying Game") play it - he was convincing before!

The black designer was Mykel Shannon Jenkins. I know because I did a furious google search immediately after the episode aired. Apparently, he was the winner of a reality show on SOAPnet called "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" and earned a spot on General Hospital although his character was soon killed off. I have seen Cristian de la Fuente around, most notably in that racecar movie with Sylvester Stallone a few years back, but I didn't recognize him until the end of the episode. What a stunning man.
And yes, a great episode as a whole. This show rarely lets me down. Everyone, from Hilda to Amanda to Mark to Wilhelmina routinely cracks me up. I'm thinking that Alex will leave the show sometime soon. I just don't see Rebecca Romijn as a permanent character and feel like they've already somewhat exhausted all they can do with her. I'm not sure how I feel about Hilda and Santos getting married. I liked Justin's speech about how she should be doing it for herself not for him since she'll have to live with him forever once he's gone. I'm interested to see what happens with Ignacio. I doubt he'll leave. I hope not. He's one hot papi.

Just one more night! So glad I sat through the marathon, because I was under the impression the show would be stupid. Man was I wrong. Sad that I had to miss some episodes since they obviously couldn't fit the entire season, but there was plenty enough to get the point.
