Did anyone watch the season premiere of Ugly Betty. I'll be the first to admit that I was reluctant to watch it when it first came out but I fell in love with the show over the summer.

I was so sad at the end of tonights episode, my heart skipped a beat. I was not expecting to end like that. I had a feeling the fiancé had died but the way they began the episode made me forget about it.
 
Yea i caught onto Betty a little late but i got myself caught mid season last season lol. I dont think its must see TV for me but i have connected with Hilda and a couple other characters so i tune in.

The season finale made me cry :( I felt it for Hilda.

It was a cool twist at the end tonight but the major problem with the twist was that Justin was acting like he didnt just lose his father 3 weeks ago.

In real life people don't get back to normal in 3 weeks do they? But then i guess you have to if you are working because you only get a week max fr compassionate leave but still.

Although i guess Justin and Santos were not really close. I mean it seemed liked he just popped back in his life last season, i dont know it just didnt seem right to have him unaffected, but they did that to make viewers think he was still alive, but they could have written Justin better tonight.

At least they seemed to take Justins gayness down a peg. He wasnt as gay as he was last season and it should stay that way.

I dont like Henry.
 
I thought the ending was really sad too. I didn't see it coming at all. And I agree that they played Justin strange. However, he was acting out in camp so may he was more affected by it than he lets on.

i felt terrible for hilda.



not to be a total bastard though... damn if santos didn't look hot wearing nothing but shorts and bandages! ....sorry.
 
i'm so sad about santos. especially after seeing those juicy nips all episode long
 
Argh! Now I have to watch the new season! I just didn't have time for Ugly Betty, but last week, ABC Family ran a marathon and I caught the episode where both Betty and Amanda were co-administrative assistants to the season finale. Now I love it so hard!
 
I didn't watch it when it first came on TV, but about a month ago, I was bored at home with nothing to do, and I actually ended up watching an episode, and have enjoyed it, since! :-)!
 
Well I saw the kid who plays Justin on The View last season, and well thats how he acts in real life. I'm happy to see characters like Justin in primetime. I find it funny that they don't talk about how Justin is gay, but at the same time they just let him be.

Actually, Justin isn't gay. In a surprise twist befitting Ugly Betty, they're gonna make Justin straight and will even have a girlfriend later in the series.

Which I think is great cause it dispells so many stereotypes.

I'm really happy the show is back and I have to agree that ending was so damn sad.
 
Santo looked so hot shirtless.

But yeah the ending caught me by surprise. Even though I heard on E! News that viewers where in store for heartbreak in the premier, I wasn't even thinking about it after I started watching.

Poor Hilda, between the scene of Betty telling her at the end of last season, & this episode, the actress is pretty damn good

I never saw it coming, I was so happy Santos had survived, and then wham, they bum us out. I feel bad for Hilda but also for Justin who last season had finally started to have a relationship with his dad. But then I thought wait a sec, he's happy as a clam in this episode. The writers gave the kid no grief time at all.

I know as a kid who lost his aunt, I kinda bounced back a day or so after the funeral. During the funeral I was a wreck, but before and after I was able to lock the sadness away. He may have the same ability. It's a coping mechanism of sorts.

I guess the writers decided it would be better not to have Justin react to Santos death or even comfort his mom. They choose instead to let him have a
dream-come-true day at the magazine. In retrospect, It probably was a good decision.

My mom just brought up a very good point, we could not have seen Justin sad over santo's death, because were not supposed to know about that till the end of the show.#-o
