Ugly Betty

Great episode! Kinda liked Betty's neighbor's slow song.

I love Wilhemina, and the part with Betty at the end.

I don't watch this show....but I'm a fan of Val Emmich(Betty's Neighbor)....his slow song is a new, never released before song that is now up on his myspace page called "Snowy Day"...I believe he also performed his single from his just released album called "Get On With It"

I can see why Willamina had that wet in the pants day dream for
Conner (Grant Bowler) Nice package

I loved this episode a lot. I am now in love with Val Emmich... when he sang I was totally lost in his eyes. mmmm

anyway, I loved the Willie storyline, I think this was the first time I said 'awe! poor willie!' during an episode.

I love how Betty's character is progressing, very good episode for her.

I loved Thursday's episode--I didn't expect Jesse to turn out to be such a D-bag. I loved Amanda and Betty as roommates. I felt bad for Wilhelmina at the end; she probably hasn't fallen for anyone since that guy in the first season who went back to his estranged wife.

plus, can anyone tell me the nake of the song they played during the at the final scene?

Another good episode this week...it seemed really short though. I can't wait until next week to see what the deal is between Justin and Randy. I don't like Daniel at all so I hope that this new girl doesn't get with him. Amanda and Marc were super funny as usual. I don't think him and Cliff are done yet either.

I kinda hope Marc and Cliff are done. They were sort of a cute couple but I wasn't a big fan of Cliff's actor. Not referring to looks or anything shallow, just acting.

I've never heard of this,

what channel does this come on?

It is on ABC on Thursday night.

So far this year has been pretty entertaining. I like how they make certain characters appear to be going off the deep end and then reel them back in and make them human again. I like how Marc is working undercover feeding Betty info about Whilimena. I know he is doing it to protect his job, and he never does enough to get Whilly into trouble much, but its making him a much more endearing character to me instead of just being a Betty hater. It shows more than one dimension to his character.

I was just about to post about last night's episode when JUB went down.

My heart ached for poor Justin. I just really wanted to cry when his new friend dumped him. Haven't so many gay young men been through that?

I realize that they wanted that tender scene when he asks his Mom to go to the theater with him, but what happened to his friends (a boy and a girl) who came to his house last year so they could talk about musicals?

Knowing this show, though, I'm sure his friend will come around eventually, because he's probably gay too.

I'm loving how they're humanizing Mark and Amanda. They're still their snarky selves, but getting so much better at being sincere, at least when it's important.

I'm getting a little tired of Daniel's "screw up and then fix it and apologize" syndrome. That boy really needs to grow up a little faster.

This episode was a bit of a snoozer for me. Didn't leave us with a cliffhanger for the next episode...it left me in the dark. The only part that was anything was the guy telling Justin to stop following him. Kinda sad, but, oh well. Justin is WAAAY too overdramatic about things, so I wouldn't exactly want to be his friend lol. The whole B book thing, I thought was a great, creative selection for her to use to get into the school.

I had a lot of the same thoughts, especially Justin and how they are finally allowing his story of awakening begin. Hilda was so moving in her talk with justin about "never changing who you are" was touching. As for Justins friend, well he is for sure a closet case and I imagine he will begin to miss justin and they will get closer than before.
As for Daniel's "screw up", yeah it's gettin old but it did provide us with the shows most touching ending. watching Betty react to the news she got in thanks to Daniel was a heart jerker. Seriously, anyone not moved by Betty's reaction in the final scene, check your heart cause maybe you don't have one.
America is one-hell-of-an-actress and proved once again how worthy she is of that Emmy.

This is driving me crazy!

I work evenings and haven't seen even one episode this season.

That changes Dec. 1st, so I hope I can discuss with all of you. :-)

did u guys here that bettys in a real risk of getting canceled if ratings don't pic up..ratings have been consistent but are not as good as they used to be...betty can't get cancelled so don't forget to leave all ur tvs runnin on betty and get ratings up...

^^That wouldn't have any effect on the ratings.

The ratings are determined by how many Neilson households are watching. They report to the Neilson Company what they've watched, and the Neilson Company figures out the ratings.

You could convince a million new people to watch the show, but if there weren't enough
Neilson households in the group, it wouldn't have any ratings impact.

And, while ratings are down for almost all scripted TV this year, I haven't heard anything about Ugly Betty being on the bubble.

^Nope, dude turned out to be a douchebag. Maybe he'll come around. Am I the only one who's glad that Betty is no longer jonesing for her neighbor? He wasn't that cute to me, and the whole artsy, starving artist thing is really played.

i don't know if douchebag is the best way to look at it really he's, like, in HS and you're looking it at the situation as an adult who is educated about society. i mean it was a shallow thing to do, but wasen't HS just a shallow pool of preppy jocks and girls, and all the other outcasts?

^^You nailed it.

Everybody on Ugly Betty has to learn their lesson, so I'm sure he'll have a change of heart sooner or later.

So, I loved the new episode. I'm glad FINALLY that the love interests of both Daniel and Wilhelmina finally worked out. Also, the father having a heart attack was a little predictable, but the show wouldn't be the same without him so I hope they don't kill him off!!
Adding Nicky Blonsky to the cast for this episode was hilarious. I don't know why, but she cracks me up. I wish they'd give her a recurring role. Too bad LaLohan didn't work out :(
I think it's odd that they totally killed off Justin's friend and Bettys few love interests. I'm still bitter that Gio is gone...ugh don't get me started.

soo sad that they killed off justin and his friends story, gay teens need to be exposed on brodcast tv, If it does happen i feel that it will breed more acceptance
