Unauthorized photos of O.C. teen water polo athletes posted on gay porn sites

It is, indeed, appalling, but it's even more appalling that there is such a market for those types of photos.

Unfortunately, being a 'global' media with different ages of majority around the world, it is difficult to know what is legal and what isn't.

sick and wrong, the owners deserve whatever they get.

Hmm, these news coming from the O.C., I bet those kids wanted to have their picture taken so to be famous and shit.... you know, with all people over there being star struck....

Otherwise, it´s a shameful act.

We use to have those pictures posted regularly. He was added to our Prohibited List a couple of years ago, and we came down hard on anyone who tried to post them. At the time, we got flack from several members about it, but it just goes to show that being pro-active and policing ourselves is well worth the time and effort - especially when your suspicions are confirmed. We delete suspect images and ban underage members on a daily basis here, as well as ocassionally passing people over to the authorities to deal with.

We do as much as we can to safeguard the site and protect your interaction here, and if that means erring on the side of caution, then we'd rather do that than lose JUB.

In my personal opinion, any porn sites that get into trouble over these images only have themselves to blame for not being vigilent.

I'm a little creeped out myself that so many cell phones have built-in cameras now. Sure, I see the convenience, and respect that - several times clients have brought out their phones to show me pictures of their house, in order that I may advise them better regarding landscaping solutions. Nonetheless, whenever I see someone in public on a cellphone these days, I have to wonder if they're really texting someone or snapping my photo. I caught a teenage kid taking my picture in a bookstore a few months ago.

This makes us all look bad.

I agree, its time for it to end.

Oh no! My picture is on the internet, I need counseling. I got your counseling right here.

Mr. WELCH. I meant to do you no personal injury, and if I did, beg your pardon.

Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

From what i've read, this are guys in speedos, not nude. There is no reasonable expectation of privacy in a public place, even if you are under 18. As long as the material in the pictures does not violate the law, there shouldn't be a problem with it.

Not mention that at 15 they are already young men, not little boys. People here act as if being attracted to a teenager is sick, which is what most people think. It might be creepy when we are talking a middle age guy, but it certainly not unnatural, since they are already developed (at least most).

There really isn't alot of difference. I have to live my beard long so that people will know i'm a college student and not a high student. It might be illegal to have anything to do with anyone under 18 in the United States, but is certainly not unnatural.

Spain's age of consent is 14, France's is 15. Our sex laws are bullshit.

Mean while, we are prosecting teenagers for having sex between themselves, using the same laws that were designed to protect them. Almost every state have statutory laws that makes it mandatory to sentence 14 year old as adults. And many more states giving the DA ample discretion for most of the crimes.

Stop trying to follow up with the hysteria and nonesense, and see the reality.

Certainly the picture taking was in wrong, if only for the fact that it reinforces the gay man as a predator stereotype, but.... Counseling???? Really???? Isn´t America going thru a tought time economicaly wise??? Surely there is a better way to spend those public resources

Besides, what the counselling would be???

So let me get this straight.....the parents don't care that the kid is all over YouTube. But if the same pics appear on a gay site, then heads must roll.

They really do hate you guys, don't they?

the reality here is that the age of consent in california is 18. it matters not how old, those kids are (note: KIDS) or at what level of development they were. being prudent and careful can hardly be called hysteria or nonsense imho.

There's a simple solution to this: a law that says that any image of a person is the property of that person.

Thirty years ago that would have been a virtually impossible matter to enforce. Now, it's not so hard.

If I were the uncle of one of those kids, and saw him traumatized by this, and I knew where the HQ of one of those websites with his pic next to pron pics was, someone would have to restrain me to keep me from making a bomb and just eliminating the place.

I don't care what the predator-friendly laws in other places are; kids at 14, 15, 16, 17 and often even 17 are still in a stage of development where even their "consent" isn't consent unless it's with someone of close to that age. A 14 guy with a 16? Okay. With a 20? No way. With someone the age of the guys going to those porn sites? Not on your life.
And since the sex-consent laws shouldn't expose them to that, the laws allowing publication of images shouldn't, either.

Without a doubt...banning any photo of anyone under the age of 18 is the only thing that can be done and for that I appreciate the diligence that the JUB MODS do in this respect.

No hysteria here, or nonsense, and the reality is that images of a person under 18 should not be posted on a Porn website. #-o

No question...end of story

Dr. Drew Pinsky (of loveline and TV fame) is of the belief that even sex between 14 y/o people isn't a natural occurence and that one of the partners was traumatized. Now, I don't know if that's true in all cases but I can see his point. I know I wasn't ready to have sex w/anyone at 14. I agree age of consent laws should be where they are now.

I may find some of the 15/17 y/o teens attractive, but I'd never, in a million years, do anything with them or look at porn of them. I usually just think, "wow, he's a cute boy." It's too harmful to their development to even consider stuff like sex w/them. So, these pics shouldn't be posted on a 'sexual' site where one can see nudes or 'action' shots. just shouldn't be there. Also, they shouldn't be on any 'for profit' or 'fetish' site either.
