Olbermann video & network news video
What Olbermann's call misses is that the cabinet is a sham cabinet, once all the real public servants were winnowed out over four years, the yes men and family members of Trump are all that's left.
And, the FBI isn't going to enforce the law when the impeachment trial proved the president acted illegally and the GOP-controlled Senate shrugged. It is more like ancient Rome than one could have imagined. A four-year war against both the intelligence organizations and the FBI specifically has successfully cowered them. And the silence of the vast majority of the GOP while this disintegration occurs is damning, justly.
The news networks have never before deliberately cut off the president mid-speech in a "press release" due to the danger it posed for insurrection. I believe that is indeed what they did and that their executives collaborated ahead of time for such a plan in the eventuality of the president's continued tirades.
As a footnote, his refusal to actually take questions from the press is all the evidence anyone in the world needed that he knew he was wrong. Strong leaders don't have to run from questions.
I heard it tonight on the PBS NEWSHOUR that more LGBTQ people voted for Trump this time than in 2016.
I don't find that surprising. Although I'm a pro-socialism voter, I know many who are very much against it, who want their own chance to either get rich or hold onto the disproportionate wealth they already control.
Anyone imagining that ideology outweighs money wasn't listening to Clinton when he uttered, "it's the economy, stupid."
After all, gay men have existed for the entire history of mankind, and most often, closeted, so the wealthiest among us would naturally be old enough to have been raised under that regime, as wealth generally accumulates with age.
I changed the last line on my signature to reflect the realities as of early 07 November...YAY!!!!!!
The Blue Wall is a euphemism for union states. What America needs isn't a bulwark in the rust belt so much as a plan for how to protect the white collar middle class jobs that are about to flee abroad in the next decade or two. If we think the loss of blue-collar work hurts, wait until engineers, accountants, architects, teachers and the rest see their jobs sold out to the lowest bidder in India.
And guess what? If the virtual classroom is the future of higher education, then outsourcing it to a foreign place is a piece of cake. Teaching was once the social mobility tool for women, and for the poor and minorities to get a foothold in the middle class. That level of pay will quickly erode when competing abroad. Nigerians, Indians, Thai, and others can speak English perfectly and teach as well as we can.
Many are still in denial that this will happen to them and their professions, but it will, even in the "sacred" Defense sector that sees itself as unaffected due to security concerns.
It. Is. Coming.
Globalization is real. It doesn't just shift manual labor.
Our economic models are outdated. Even the concept of the middle class is bygone.
Embrace a socialist model before the end becomes a civil war.
