His wild speech from yesterday has news media either shaking heads in pity or disgust.

It looks like even FOX is looking to be rid of him as his ability to attract viewers may be diminishing. I don't get the sense that Murdochs are willing to back Trump through a useless challenge to the vote. Hannity, Carlson and Pirro might be able to provoke rage viewing by the core...but it will now be better for FOX to have a Biden/Harris administration to trash everyday and to use Trump and the Trumpists to rant against the evils of the Democrats.

Not from the US, but been following this. The fact that the election is even this close is ridiculous.

Less than half of the voters voted for him, but yes, much too close to half of the voters are Trumpers. That's scary. They don't just disappear in a puff of smoke when Trump leaves office.

^ Well a whole bunch of the older ones will shuffle off their mortal coil or end up drooling over their 5 pm supper in a nursing home over the next 4 years...so there's that.

Some of the others are going to drift away from their hard core Trumpism because they will now be exhausted and demoralized by their loss. Trump can try to keep the momentum going by announcing his campaign for 2024 and having rallies...but even that ship has likely sailed because they would now have to pay for them and I suspect the big money is going to drift away from Trump to younger potential candidates.

Expect a lot of them to come out in 2022 for the mid-terms in order to grind the Dems into the dust though. I suspect that the Dems now only have 2 years to hold onto the house and Senate (if they get the latter).

The worst part now though, is that the GOP will have to start appealing to the very worst behaviour and prejudices of their base in order to keep their dwindling demographic ginned up.

306 to 232. That would be exactly the same electoral margin that Trump won by in 2016 and Biden has already a larger popular vote margin. It would be such poetic justice.
