The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC is currently running a segment about THE FAMILY, and its operations in Uganda, which have the aim of totally eradicating and killing homosexuals in Uganda. And, if they succeed there, no doubt elsewhere in Africa.

The segment started at 29 minutes after the hour, AND WILL REPEAT 2 hours and 5 hours from now. (Or a little bit LESS than 2 and 5 hours, actually - about 1 and 4 hours and 45 minutes after the time on this post.)

The segment was 7 minutes long (it took me forever to find the schedule for the show repeats!), not very long when it concerns a segment about genocide being driven by Christians based in the United States and meddling in international affairs, but it's good to see it being aired...SOMEWHERE. (This topic was discussed in another HT thread.)

Those fools should NOT question why large parts of the world hate the United States. It's this kind of shit that causes it!

People who watch Fox News will NEVER hear about this!

I haven't heard much about the Family in the US. But I know Canadas Conservative Prime Minister was at the Commonwealth meeting in Trinidad and let Museveni know his opposition and disgust with what they are proposing in their new law, to imprison if not execute homosexuals. Disgusting.

I hope to hear from other world leaders condemning Uganda.

I will try and find Rachel Maddows show to watch what this Family thing is all about.

^ There's actually another thread which goes into much more detail, and it's still on the front page. I just put a small post in it, so it should be near the top, in this Forum.

And it turns out that the minister who delivered the benediction at Obama's inauguration has very close ties to this organization. Also some U. S. Senators, etc. are involved with this - and politicians at that [strike]whorehouse[/strike] residence for conservative Christian Congressmen and Senators (no women, minorities or gays need apply), etc.

The interrview lasted about seven minutes, but what do I bet this is ABSOLUTELY THE LAST TIME I'll ever see this mentioned anywhere on TV?

and you hear how Uganda brainwashed their 'state' that circumcision reduces HIV infection from female to male transmission? Now they are mass-circ'ing all males. What a crock of shit; no sex from infected females and/or condoms are more effective.

Here's the clip via YouTube.

Just as an observation. Could it be that the catastrophe that Dubai's financial collapse has represented for African nations at the moment of attempting to obtain refinancing, has prompted Uganda's leaders to propose this law as a means to channel social unrest against a universally despised minority?

I haven't heard alot about this, only from what I've read online. This is just sick. Just fucking sick. I don't know what else to say, I'm just so angry and devestated to hear this.

^ Or perhaps it's a condition for getting more financing from the U.S.?

But they are already receiving funding for debt relief by the IMF, as well as resources to create infrastructures to deal with the AIDS epidemic that's sweeping Africa - all of them being given directly by the US government and the EU. It's very unlikely that, in the current financial crisis, additional financing would be put aside by cash-strapped developed countries in order to try and help barely functional economies, such as the Ugandan.

I think that the fact that Uganda has untapped petroleum reserves and is a strategic point from which transnational companies could gradually enter the Congolese market, has more to do with this political/religious interventionism by the US, than anything else.

Still, Uganda appears to have an important urban population... Could they be on the verge of a social uprising?

On the night of the 2nd Rachel Maddow said she was going to cover this even more. She is going to spotlight three Americans that helped with the law.

I wish that everyone would keep updated on this. This is very important. We are talking about peoples lives here and our own politicians in the US funding and supporting this kind of disgusting hatred.

I've been showing it to as many as I can.

Just look at how many care off of this website though. Some of the more conservative people on the site even stuck up for those helping and have said no more now that the people they like are shown to be far in it.

At the end of the day most don't give a shit about anyone but themselves. At least not enough to do something.

(I'm also really angry that Obama chose him.)

So can we consider these religious leaders and conservative religions in the US to be official terrorists yet?
