This is a pretty lighthearted thread along the lines of my US Presidential Debate threads and my Oscar Results thread, please come and post along with me when the polls close and the results start coming in, be as serious as you like or as frivolous as you please.

I shall be watching the coverage on the BBC which begins at 11pm my time.

I look forward to seeing you then.

Have you all voted today ?

Never ending elections ....
democracy has failed .... Sad !!! :##:

Is there a better system ???

Yes I voted, if my vote helps Michigan will be high as a kite tomorrow.

No lines at all at my voting location. Took me less than 5 minutes.

No idea what the difference between the House and the Senate is, perhaps the same as The Commons and The Lords.

I voted 2 weeks ago when early voting started. Here in Florida over 5 million people voted early. We were only second to Texas for early voting numbers.

The Dem guy that's running for the Senate in Texas is very cute.

We both voted weeks ago. Mail in ballots.

Unfortunately, we live in a blue state. Our votes don't really count.

Do The Dems have a leader, all i've seen is Obama out on the stump ?

In the Senate each state gets 2 representatives each so each state has equal voting rights and in the House of Representatives each state gets representatives by their population. So highly populous states get more members. Senators are voted to office every 6 years and the House are every 2 years. For a bill or law to pass both sides have to agree to it.

Each Party have a Chairman which leads the party.

Very sad, have you thought of moving to a redneck state, i'm sure you'll get a warm welcome there.

I voted bright and early this morning. Now I'm sitting here a nervous wreck...
