Anyone going to be switching on for this?

I probably wouldn't be tuning in if Elizabeth Mitchell wasn't in it... but after checking out the trailer (below) it does look like something I could get into.

How about you?

Well, I guess that answers the question as to whether or not she comes back to Lost next season.

I'll give it a go, but I was a H U G E fan of the original series in the 80's. I suppose if the Star Trek reboot was good this could be as well. Time will tell.

Apparently she is going to be in both... from different sources it states that she will be in both - and one says that she will appear in both but only as a guest star in LOST.

I guess we'll only find out when LOST starts again huh?

Bring it on I loved the original mini series, I would have loved a follow up Kenneth Johnson was planing but this is the next best thing. Look what great actors they have to I hope europe gets it.

Although, if they have a trailer out for 'V' surely that means a lot of it has been shot already? And it begins in the Fall?

That leaves loads of time for her to do LOST as well. I guess it is just a waiting game...

This show does look like it's set to be really good though - and she's playing such a different character to Juliet - which is nice.

There will never be another 'V' for me:

Mark Singer could pull my trigger any day!

Never?!!!

Wouldn't you at least give it the first episode?

^ I didn't even like the first series. The only reason I watched it was to see Mark Singer in jeans.

hm I see the annoying guy from the 4400 and the as annoying cop from t:ssc.
but the trailer looks interesting .. damn.

Yeah well I'm pretty sure that this is going to be way better than the original series - sure it's the same premise, but it will be executed with less gimmicks and with more technical prowess.

I'm pretty sure there could be some decent eye candy there too.

Which guy? I think I know which one you're talking about... the rather dashing black one?

the black guy is the cop from t:ssc - the preacher guy is "tom baldwin" from the 4400. who is rather easy on the eye but still i cannot watch him

See if this is another TV series I'm going to have to buy on DVD...

I'm just glad LOST has only one season to go so that there's one less show to purchase! Haha

I think i'm going to give it a try but i LOVED the original V so much I probably wont like it. Thats why I didnt like Independence Day cause it was a rip-off of V and they wouldnt even admit it.

he is not? he looks a bit "smoother" in the face, but apart from that ...

I didn't realize that this was in the works. I remember liking the original however I didn't care for the ending, it was pretty silly. I hope that they improved on this version.

The original was popular because of all the drama that the Diana character brought to the show. The previews for this new one look somewhat decent. When does it start? And is it a miniseries (do those still exist?) or is this going to be a regular show with regular seasons?

I think it's going to be a regular show with regular seasons - or perhaps irregular, since the first part of it is 13 episodes and it starts "mid-season" so that Elizabeth Mitchell can juggle both 'V' and 'LOST' since she will be appearing in multiple 'LOST' episodes... possibly.

The black guy is not the cop from t:scc. Just so you know. Looks similar but they are two different guys. Richard T. Jones is the guy from t:scc and the guy in 'V' is not the same dude but IMDB is not listing any actors at this point.

I might end up watching this for Morena Baccerin and Scott Wolf. Morena is the alien in the clip talking to Scott Wolf in the TV interview. She's from the Joss Whedon show "Firefly." And I am usually loyal to those actors.

IMDB are listing the actors.

http://http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1397515/

And his name is Morris Chestnut.
