dude this is now the biggest shooting incident in history. this is horrible.
 
It's very sad that this happened. There are too many unstable people that own weapons, which is one of the problems.
 
Now that the anti gun lunatics have made their presence known, let's set the record straight. Last year the Virginia legislature, scuttled a bill that would have permitted law abiding students and faculty, who had permits to go about armed on campus.

In fact, a spokesmen for the scene of today's tragedy, rejoiced at the failure of this bill. Proclaiming that it would make life safer on campus. The blood of these innocent people are on the hands of this fucktard and the legislators who denied them the right to self defense.

I hope they're happy.

Just what Virginia needs, the lunatic fringe with firearms on campus.

What needs to happen is a complete ban on all assault rifles and mandatory psychological testing for every one carrying a concealed wpn or who owns or purchases a firearm. The mentally unstable, alcoholics and drug users have no business owning a firearm.
 
So, as I understand it, the gun lobby position is that if the 10,000 students on campus were all packing, the campus would be safer?

All it would have taken would have been one bullet and his rampage would have ceased. I will be trashed for saying this but were I in the room after he shot the second person I would have "noticed" the trend and gun or no gun I would have went after him before he got me.
 
From what I've heard, most of the people in the classrooms played dead. I don't think that it would be very easy to subdue a person who is armed to the teeth and hell bent on killing. Plus I heard that the gunman rattled off 30 shots in a minute and a half. Not much time to dodge bullets. Sometimes, it takes a few moments to comprehend what is going on. Just my 2 cents. My prayers go out to the victims and their families. Absolutly horrible day for VT.
