First time we went to Las Vegas(We stayed at the Hilton,naturally for the then centrally located Star Trek Experience);)my brother and I did Lake Meade/Hoover Dam....beautiful day and we had a wonderful time on the water!:D

Hoping to make it....just have to make sure there is no schedule conflicts with my boss,no big sale(it goes into the first week of the month at my supermarket,so it is possibly though not necessarily absolutely problematic) And yes,whatever hotel deal stacy and -noiro come up with,it will be fine with me;)...just hope I can go(would know definitively by sometime in August)

Hmmm....JUB meeting ha? Interesting?! I actually just join this forum a couple of months ago and just noticed this post today. Is this the first meeting that you guys have, if not where is the first one held at? Can someone shared their experieces from the first meeting with us?
 
HUNGNGOC: Go to the FORUMS/VIEW ALL FORUMS, then click on JUB REGIONAL MEETS. Near the top of that page, you'll see a sub-forum for PAST JUB MEETS. Threads preceding the St. Louis, Anaheim, San Antonio, Atlanta, etc. meets (and which continued after the meets as well) are permanently preserved in that Forum.

So, yes, there have been other JUB meets. There have been a lot of genuinely good times had at these. In some cases, people's lives have been changed because of the experience of having gone.

Don't be misled too badly about all the flirting, sexual innuendo, etc. that you see in those threads. The uninformed may read those threads and get the idea that a JUB meet is nothing more than an endless, weekend-long mass orgy. Yes there are sexual encounters that happen, but they certainly don't dominate ANYTHING, by any means. And the three JUB meets I've been to were all conducted in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There are a lot of good conversations to be had, and to me that's the best part of getting together.

If you make it to Las Vegas or elsewhere, I'm confident that you'll have a good time.

Just got back from Vegas....it was only 114 degrees yesterday! lol! OMG...it was so hot walking along the strip.

I stayed at the Luxor -- $49 per night. The Luxor is looking a little rough around the edges -- wallpaper stained from water running across it in the rooms and some paper damage on the walls of a couple hallways. A nice place but starting to show its age.

NY, NY was $79 per night....

Those going may want to check around for deals. The Wynn and a couple other new hotels are just opening and offering some really good deals to fill beds. The Luxor and Excaliber are now offering $25 all you can eat buffets -- breakfast lunch and dinner and all you want to eat for the one price.

The cheapest time to go, according to hotel folks and cabbies is after December 15 and up to the New Year's Eve.

114 and dry aint got nothing on 85 and humid , hehe.

I don't know about 85 and humid....it is that today in DC and I went out and walked to the coffee shop and then sat in Dupont Circle until it clouded over. But the 114 really wiped me out; I think I got a tad dehydrated even though I thought I was drinking a lot of water to replenish!

Tried to lay by the pool; burnt my feet going from the lounge to the pool; then getting out of the pool I burnt my hand on the railing which was very hot as well as having to run back to the lounge! lol!

It did mean guys wore less clothes while I was there so it was great looking!
 
I am not really interested--Gay Days was fun...but been there done that and literally have the t-shirt...but I have been vacillating on going or not anyway. Changing to Anaheim really ups the price as well.

what's with all the location changes? This event has been planned as Vegas since last year. That's what I'd like to go to.

I too have done Disney. I've never been to Vegas and that's why I was interested in this event.
 
Just as M4P has me convinced to book Vegas they want to change it.
